Trio to join Yellow Jackets Cedarville High School graduate Kevin Kuhn was the Ohio Heritage Conference cross country champion as a senior and went on to place 20th in the Ohio Division III meet. He was the Ohio Division III state runner-up in the 800 meters after posting a school-record time of 1:55.55 and was invited to compete in the Midwest Meet of Champions. Spring Mills, Pa. native Judson Brooker will follow the footsteps of his parents, former Yellow Jacket distance runners Scott and Jane (Romig), to Cedarville. The Penns Valley High School product competed in the state cross country meet last fall and turned in a 16:11 effort in the 5K to place 2nd at CU’s Friendship Invitational Blue Division to lead his squad to the team title. Brooker was also the 2005 regional champion in the 1,600 meters on the track and was the Class AA state runner-up in the event. Jordan Seibert, who is from Hilliard (Ohio) Davidson High School, was the district cross country runner-up as a senior, placed 6th in the regional, and was 51st in the Ohio Division I meet. He was also the district runner-up on the track in the 3,200 meters.
Cedarville 15th at NAIA Nationals Dan Campbell led the way by placing 63rd out of 259 runners in a time of 26:18 for the 8,000 meters. Other Yellow Jackets to score were Kevin Hall (89th; 26:35), Micah Harding (96th; 26:38), Benjamin Shroyer (120th; 26:58), and Bryan Pittman (133rd; 27:06). [TEAM and INDIVIDUAL RESULTS] Junior Brad Miller was tabbed an NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete. The list honors juniors and seniors who maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average. [NAIA SCHOLAR-ATHLETES] Campbell NCCAA All-American Campbell’s time in the 8,000 meters was 25:34 which placed 7th. The remaining Yellow Jackets were bunched together led by Benjamin Shroyer (21st; 26:28), Kevin Hall (24th; 26:37), Micah Harding (25th; 26:39), and Bryan Pittman (26th; 26:40).
