Dan Campbell will continue to hold down the position of the #1 runner on the Yellow Jacket cross country squad.....ran in the top spot in all eight meets as a sophomore.....turned in a career-best time of 25:23 for the 8K to win the Ohio Northern Invitational.....won the Friendship Invitational (25:24) and also finished first at Wittenberg (26:47).....NCCAA All-American after placing 12th in 26:22.....finished 3rd in the American Mideast Conference Championship (26:29).....placed 50th of 254 runners at the NAIA Nationals in 26:04.....repeated as the NCCAA indoor champion on the track in the 5,000 meters (15:30.15). 2002 - Ran in the #3 position for the cross country team during his rookie season.....had a season-low time of 26:40 in the 8K and finished 21st out of 226 runners at the Louisville Classic.....CU’s #2 finisher in the AMC Championship in 26:52 and finished 16th.....placed 19th at the Wilmington Classic in 26:49 and was 22nd in the NCCAA Nationals in 26:53.....NCCAA indoor national champion on the track in the 5,000 meters with a winning time of 15:40.27.....posted a career-low 15:27.76 in the event at the Denison Indoor Invitational. High School - Produced a record-setting career at Grand Rapids Baptist High School.....picked up all-state honors as a junior and senior after winning the regional individual title both years.....three-time All-River Valley Conference runner and was a three-time Team MVP.....twice named to the Grand Rapids Advance All-Area Team.....posted a school-record 16:13 in the cross country 5K.....member of three conference championship teams and two region title squads.....recognized as an ACSI Distinguished Student. Personal - Carries a pre-physical therapy major at Cedarville University.....born 10/28/84 in Portland, ME.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Campbell.....has one younger brother and two younger sisters.
