Jolene (Nourse) Bennington returns for her final season with the Lady Jacket tennis program....one of just two seniors on the 2005 roster.....posted a 15-5 mark at #6 singles to up her career record to 32-16.....limited doubles action produced a 4-2 record.....rallied for a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory to give Cedarville a 5-4 win over Ohio Dominican in the NAIA Region IX semifinals. 2003 - Posted a 10-10 record in the #5 singles position.....registered a 2-0 mark in doubles with Diana Locke and also paired with Carrie Hartman for a 0-2 tally.....recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win at #5 singles to help CU defeat Ohio Dominican 5-2 in the championship match of the NAIA Region IX Tournament.....was a straight set winner at #5 singles in a 6-0 CU victory over Piedmont at the NCCAA National Tournament. 2002 - Recorded a 7-1 singles mark in her rookie campaign.....had a combined 8-1 doubles record with two separate partners. High School - Played three years of tennis and four years of basketball at nearby Shawnee High School.....three-year letter winner on the tennis courts.....voted to the All-Central Buckeye Conference Second Team and was recognized on the all-area second team.....helped team win the CBC championship as a junior.....two-year letter winner on the hardwood.....named to the All-CBC Second Team as a senior.....National Honor Society student. Personal - Dean's List student as a psychology major at Cedarville University....born 7/21/82 in Springfield, OH.....daughter of Joseph and Marlene Nourse.....married former Yellow Jacket golfer, Craig Bennington, on July 17, 2004.....older sister, Julie, is a 2001 CU graduate who played four years of basketball and is the Lady Jackets' fifth all-time leading scorer and ranks fifth in rebounding.....also has four older brothers.
