Christina Reyes joins the Lady Jackets as a transfer from Cuesta College in California.....expected to make significant contribution to the track program in the distance events after an outstanding cross country campaign with the Lady Jackets.....ran in all nine cross country meets for the Lady Jackets this fall.....posted a time of 18:20 for the 5,000 meters at the NAIA Championships to finish 14th out of 258 competitors.....season-low effort of 18:01 came at the NCCAA Championships to place second.....earned NAIA and NCCAA All-America honors.....also finished 2nd at the Hope Invitational (83 runners) and the Louisville Classic (357 runners).

Junior College/High School - Named the Cuesta Female Athlete of the Year for 2003-04.....placed third in the state in 2003 and was 12th in 2002.....two year letter winner in both track and cross country.....holds the school record in the 5,000 meters on the track.....homeschooled.

Personal - Carries a pre-physical therapy major at Cedarville University.....born 12/7/83 in San Luis Obispo, CA....daughter of Sergio and Nancy Reyes.....older brother, Sergio, was an eight-time NAIA All-American in track and cross country at Cedarville, and he was the 2002 NAIA champion in the outdoor 10K.....also has an older sister and two younger sisters.
