Scott Aker comes to the Yellow Jackets as a transfer from nearby Wittenberg University and expects to have an immediate impact on the program.....has assembled an impressive golf resume' which includes the 2003 Springfield City Amateur championship and a runner-up showing the following year.....enjoyed an outstanding summer in 2005.....placed 3rd in the USGA Amateur Public Links sectional (70-76-146) and was invited to the national event at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio.....advanced to the final 64 players (73-71-144) and was seeded #25.....won his opening match 2-and-1 before being eliminated 3-and-2 in the second round.....medalist in the stroke qualifier for the Miami Valley Match Play Championship (70-73-143) and advanced to the quarterfinals.

2003-05 - Played in the #2 position both years at Wittenberg University.....averaged 76.4 strokes per 18 holes as a freshman and 77.8 as a sophomore.....earned a spot on the 2005 North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team (74-79-153).....shot a career-low 68 at the Muskingum Invitational during sophomore spring season.

High School - Four-year letter winner in golf at Shawnee High School.....earned a spot on the All-Ohio Division I First Team as a junior after tying for 3rd place.....finished 7th as a sophomore for All-Ohio Division II Second Team honors.....graduated with school records for the lowest nine (32) and 18-hole (68) scores.....averaged a school record 36.2 strokes per nine holes as a senior.....two-time Springfield Area, Clark County, and Central Buckeye Conference Player of the Year.....led school to four county, conference, and sectional titles....member of district championship squad as a sophomore.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean's List student as an integrated social studies major at Cedarville University.....born 4/7/85 in Springfield, OH....son of Greg and Sheryl Aker.....has one older brother.
