Luke Marietta enters his fourth season in the program and will be expected to make a key contribution at the goalkeeper position.....was primed to see more playing time last fall before a preseason shoulder injury sent him to the sideline for the entire schedule.....appeared in one varsity match as a sophomore.....played the entire 90 minutes of a 6-0 victory over Georgetown and made five saves.....received valuable experience in 2002 as a freshman on the junior varsity squad.
High School - Named to the All-Ohio Division III First Team following his senior season at Mansfield Christian High School.....posted 11 shutouts with 124 saves while leading his team to a 16-4-2 record.....named district Player of the Year.....earned a spot on the all-district first team and the All-Independent Conference first team.....racked up nine shutouts with 74 saves as a junior at the school.....previously played two seasons at Lexington High School.....voted to the all-district second team in baseball as a senior.....led the area with a .514 batting average and 35 stolen bases.
Personal - Carries a sociology major at Cedarville University.....born 11/17/83 in Mansfield, Ohio.....son of Roc and Kim Marietta.....younger twin sisters, Brittany and Brooke, are juniors at CU.
