Justin Gutierrez appeared in six varsity meets as a freshman and was among the Yellow Jackets' top seven finishers four times.....ran a career-best 27:03 in the 8K at the NCCAA Nationals placing 34th of 145 competitors.....CU's #4 finisher in the American Mideast Conference Championship and placed 20th overall with a time of 27:51.....participated during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.....placed 5th in the 5K at the NCCAA Indoor Championship in 15:40.43.....finished 5th in the NCCAA outdoor 10K in 32:54.99.

High School - Assembled a notable distance running career at Flint-Kearsley High School.....three-year letter winner in cross country.....two-time all-conference and all-region honoree.....served as team captain for two years and was Most Valuable Runner as a senior.....earned three letters in track & field.....helped lead team to 2004 Division II state championship as well as the Big 9 Conference and region titles.....member of 4 x 800 meter relay team that was state runner-up.....achieved all-region and all-conference honors.....named to the Academic All-State units in both cross country and track & field.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Carries a secondary education major at Cedarville University.....born 2/16/86 in Flint, MI.....son of John and Susie Gossett.....has two younger brothers and a younger sister.
