April 29, WALSH
Walsh pulled out a 4-2 victory in 10 innings to edge out the Lady Jacktes for the final AMC South Division playoff position. It was the completion of a suspended game that was started on March 29 and halted because of darkness. CU then ended the season with a 10-2 non-conference win over the Cavaliers. The two teams picked up the suspended game in the top of the 9th inning tied at 2-2. Walsh broke through with two runs in the top of the 10th to win it. All four of the Cavs runs were unearned. Jackie Greetham was 3-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Lady Jackets, 22-24 overall and 6-8 AMC, exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to win the nightcap by the eight-run mercy rule. Greetham had three more hits, a run scored, and an RBI in her final appearance in a CU uniform. Erica Schroeder tallied a hit and two RBI's while Emily Millay and Andrea Walker each doubled. April 27, at Indiana Wesleyan (NCCAA National Tournament)
No. 2 seed and host Indiana Wesleyan never trailed in eliminating Cedarville, 3-2, in an NCCAA National Tournament losers' bracket contest. The Wildcats, 34-11, stroked four extra base hits among their total of 10 while checking the Lady Jackets with nine singles. Jackie Greetham was 3-for-4, Erin DiMeolo added two hits, and Erica Schroeder scored two runs for CU, 21-23. April 27, Olivet Nazarene (NCCAA National Tournament)
Top-seeded Olivet Nazarene scored a run in the top of the 7th inning to pull out a 3-2 win over CU in the second round at the NCCAA National Tournament. Charissa Rowe continued her hot hitting by going 3-for-3 including a two-out, two-run single in the 6th that tied the contest. Aubree Munson and Emily Millay both singled and scored for the Lady Jackets. The Tigers improved to 42-18. [BOXSCORE]

April 27, Oakland City (NCCAA National Tournament)
The No. 5 seeded Lady Jackets defeated No. 4 Oakland City, 6-4, to open play at the NCCAA Nationals. Cedarville took a 6-1 lead into the bottom of the 7th inning and the Oaks, 13-23 overall, made it interesting by scoring three times to account for the final. The Jackets totaled 10 hits with Jackie Greetham going 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs scored. Charissa Rowe was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Erica Schroeder tripled, and Aubree Munson doubled. Winning pitcher Allie Smith struck out eight batters. [BOXSCORE]

April 26, at Ohio Dominican
NAIA No. 21 Ohio Dominican used the extra base hit again to defeat Cedarville, 4-1, in the second game of an AMC South Division doubleheader. The Panthers, 37-16 overall and 11-3 AMC, won the opener the previous day with the second contest rained out. ODU put together two-run innings in the 3rd and 4th to account for their scoring. They had six hits total, but ripped three doubles, a triple, and a home run. Andrea Walker singled home Charissa Rowe with two outs in the 7th inning for CU. Walker finished 2-for-2 in the game. Erica Schroeder, Jackie Greetham, and Sarah Hoffman added singles for the Lady Jackets, 20-21 and 6-7 AMC. [BOXSCORE]

April 25, at Ohio Dominican
Ohio Dominican hammered three home runs in a 10-2 AMC South Division victory over the Lady Jackets. The second game was rained out and will be made up on Wednesday. Cedarville, 20-20 overall and 6-6 AMC, got on the board first when Erica Schroeder doubled in Andrea Walker in the 3rd inning. The Panthers, 36-16 and 10-3 AMC, answered with three runs in their half of the frame to take the lead for good. Walker cut the deficit to 4-2 in the 5th when she singled home Sarah Hoffman. ODU, who rapped four doubles to go along with their three homers, ended the contest with six runs in the 6th inning. Schroeder was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles for the Jackets. Their only other hits were singles from Walker and Erin DiMeolo. [BOXSCORE]

April 22, at Indiana Wesleyan (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Indiana Wesleyan claimed the NCCAA Midwest Region title with a convincing 6-2 victory over the Lady Jackets to finish unbeaten in the double-elimination event. IWU, 32-10 overall, jumped out to a 6-0 lead through five innings in the finals. Cedarville, 20-19, scored single runs in the bottom of the 6th and 7th innings. Sarah Hoffman was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. Emily Millay was 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and a stolen base. Erin DiMeolo was one of four Lady Jackets named to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region squad. She was joined by Erica Schroeder, Aubree Munson, and Allie Smith. DiMeolo, Jackie Greetham, and Andrea Walker earned spots on the all-tournament team while Greetham, Smith, and Kim Bowman were tabbed scholar-athletes. [BOXSCORE]

April 22, Spring Arbor (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Cedarville reached the NCCAA Midwest Region championship round with an 8-6 win over Spring Arbor. The Lady Jackets enjoyed 7-1 and 8-3 leads before the defending NCCAA national champion Cougars rallied late. Winning pitcher Allie Smith posted her 12th victory of the season which featured eight strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. The Jackets hammered 13 hits with Aubree Munson going 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI, and a run scored. Emily Millay was 2-for-4 with three RBI's and a run scored while Erica Schroeder tallied two hits, including a triple, and two runs scored. Jackie Greetham and Erin DiMeolo contributed two hits and two runs apiece. Spring Arbor bowed out at 23-24 overall. [BOXSCORE]

April 21, at Indiana Wesleyan (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Host and top seed Indiana Wesleyan scored three times in the bottom of the 1st inning to take control of their semifinal matchup en route to an 8-2 win over Cedarville. The Wildcats, 31-10 overall, held a 4-2 advantage before plating four runs in the 6th to blow it open. Andrea Walker recorded two of the Lady Jackets' five hits. Greetham was 1-for-2 with a stolen base and a run scored for Cedarville, 19-18. [BOXSCORE]

April 21, Spring Arbor (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Allie Smith tossed a complete game with four strikeouts as the Lady Jackets opened the NCCAA Midwest Regional with a 4-1 victory against Spring Arbor. Cedarville broke a 1-1 tie with a run in the 6th inning before adding an insurance run in the top of the 7th. Erin DiMeolo was 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, and a run scored. Erica Schroeder had two hits, a run scored, and a stolen base while Jackie Greetham added two hits and a steal. Spring Arbor fell to 22-23 overall. [BOXSCORE]

April 19, TIFFIN
NAIA No. 16 Tiffin put its potent offense on display with a convincing doubleheader sweep at Cedarville. The Dragons, members of the AMC North Division, cruised to 10-0 and 9-1 victories over the South Division Lady Jackets. Both games were halted after six innings due to the 8-run mercy rule. Tiffin scored four runs in their first at bat of the day and never looked back. They made the most of eight hits which included a pair of triples and a double. CU was held hitless until freshman Erica Schroeder stroked a clean single with one out in the 6th inning. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Another four-run 1st inning sparked Tiffin in the second game. The Dragons, 36-7 overall, ripped 11 hits while checking the Jackets on three. April 17, MALONE
Cedarville pulled out a 1-0 victory against Malone in the first game of an AMC South Division doubleheader before the Pioneers won the nightcap, 3-2. The Lady Jackets, 18-15 overall and 6-5 AMC, had their five-game winning streak snapped. Jackie Greetham doubled just inside the third base bag with one out in the 8th inning to score pinch runner Charissa Rowe with the only run in the opener. She subbed for Chelsea Howard, who opened the frame with a double. Greetham had two hits in the contest and Erin DiMeolo doubled. Allie Smith improved her pitching record to 10-7 by tossing a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In game two, Malone, 14-15 and 5-7 AMC, jumped out to a 3-0 lead and then held on. Erica Schroeder was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Aubree Munson was 3-for-3 and scored the team's other run. Greetham and Sarah Hoffman had the RBI's. April 15, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
The Lady Jackets stretched their winning streak to four in a row after taking both games of an AMC South Division twinbill at Mount Vernon Nazarene, 7-1 and 7-4. Cedarville broke a 1-1 tie in the opener with a three-run 4th inning. The big blow was a two-run double from Sarah Hoffman, who had three RBI's total in the contest. Erica Schroeder had two hits including a double and scored twice while Kim Bowman was 2-for-3. Winning pitcher Allie Smith improved to 9-7 with six strikeouts and no walks. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In the nightcap, the Lady Jackets rallied from a 4-2 deficit by scoring five times in the 6th inning after two were out. Erin DiMeolo's two-run triple capped off the comeback for Cedarville, 17-14 overall and 5-4 AMC. Hoffman was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Jackie Greetham had two hits while Aubree Munson doubled and stole three bases. Sophomore righthander Kandis Armstrong, 8-7, fanned seven batters without a walk. MVNU drops to 10-17 and 2-8 AMC. April 12, at Urbana
Cedarville halted a four-game losing streak by sweeping a pair of one-run games at Urbana in an American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader. The Lady Jackets won by scores of 3-2 and 4-3. CU spotted the Blue Knights two runs in the 1st inning of the opener before scoring all three of their runs in the 3rd. Rookie shortstop Erica Schroeder doubled in two runs and later scored on a single from Erin DiMeolo. Winning pitcher Allie Smith, 8-7, worked out of a bases loaded, one-out jam in the 6th inning to help preserve the win. Urbana stranded 11 runners total on base. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Lady Jackets, 15-14 overall and 3-4 AMC, scored the first three runs of the nightcap to take command. DiMeolo had an RBI single in the 1st inning and later scored an unearned run on a throwing error. Schroeder singled in a run in the 2nd, and Aubree Munson belted her eighth triple of the season in the 6th and scored on Sarah Hoffman's hit. April 10, RIO GRANDE
Rio Grande erased a three-run deficit and defeated the Lady Jackets, 4-3 in eight innings, to complete a sweep of their American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader. The Redwomen, 20-11 overall and 5-1 AMC, won the opener, 3-0. Cedarville, 13-14 and 1-4 AMC, got the scoring underway in the second game with a three-run 3rd inning. Jackie Greetham singled in a run and Aubree Munson later followed with a two-run triple. That's all the offense the Jackets could muster the entire day. Rio rebounded with a run in the 4th inning, two more in the 6th, and then plated an unearned run in the 8th to win it. Kandis Armstrong pitched all eight innings after finishing the final two innings of the opener. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE] Cedarville was checked on two hits in the first game. Munson hammered a double and Emily Millay singled. The Redwomen made the most of eight hits and four stolen bases to manufacture their three runs. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE]

April 8, SHAWNEE STATE
Shawnee State hammered 19 hits, including two home runs, to remain unbeaten in AMC South Division play with a doubleheader sweep at Cedarville. The Bears, 19-6 overall and 6-0 AMC, posted 6-2 and 6-1 victories on a cool, windy day. Shawnee stroked 10 hits in the opener while the Lady Jackets were checked on seven singles. Erica Schroeder was 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored. Andrea Walker and Kim Bowman tallied RBI's. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Aubree Munson went 3-for-3 in the second contest and put CU on the board first with an RBI triple in the 1st inning. The Bears took a 2-1 lead into the 5th inning and put the game out of reach with three runs in the frame. April 4, at Findlay
The Lady Jackets unloaded 22 hits and swept a non-conference doubleheader at NCAA Division II Findlay. Cedarville, 13-10 overall, won by scores of 8-3 and 6-3. Erin DiMeolo paced a 13-hit attack in the opener by going 5-for-5 at the plate. Andrea Walker had two hits including a triple. Erica Schroeder added a triple and three RBI's while Aubree Munson and Amanda Einselen each tallied doubles. Winning pitcher Allie Smith, 7-5, struck out three with no walks. April 1, at Seton Hill
Seton Hill ended its futility against Cedarville by sweeping a doubleheader, 3-2 and 5-3. The Griffins, 7-4 overall, had not won in 10 previous tries against the Lady Jackets. CU scored its two runs in the 3rd inning, but Seton Hill chipped away with a run in the 3rd, an unearned run in the 5th, and then the hosts plated the game winner in the bottom of the 7th. Erica Schroeder had two hits including a double while Aubree Munson added two hits. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Griffins broke a 2-2 tie in the second contest with two runs in the 3rd. The Lady Jackets pounded out 10 hits but stranded nine runners on base. Schroeder, Andrea Walker, and Sarah Hoffman stroked two hits each for CU, 11-10. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 31, at Geneva
Erin DiMeolo had three hits and three runs scored to lead the Lady Jackets to an 8-5 victory at Geneva and a split of their doubleheader. The Golden Tornadoes, who had dropped a 3-0 decision to CU in Florida three weeks ago, won the opener, 5-4. DiMeolo tripled and stole a pair of bases to lead the offense. Emily Millay added two hits including a double, two runs scored, and three steals. Jackie Greetham singled twice and stole two bases, Kim Bowman added two hits, and Charissa Rowe drove in two runs with one coming on a solo homer. Winning pitcher Kandis Armstrong struck out seven batters and improved her record to 5-4. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE] Cedarville fell just short in the first game by leaving two runners on base in the 7th inning after scoring once to pull within the 5-4 final. March 29, WALSH
Cedarville opened the AMC South Division schedule with a 6-5 victory over visiting Walsh. The second game was suspended due to darkness with the two teams tied 2-2 through eight innings. It will be completed at a later date only if it has a bearing on the standings. The Lady Jackets, 10-7 overall, bolted to a 4-0 lead after their first at bat. The Cavaliers, 7-10, rallied twice to tie the contest at 4-4 and 5-5. CU got the game winner in the bottom of the 7th inning with a two-out unearned run. Allie Smith improved to 6-3 with her fifth straight victory. Aubree Munson and Emily Millay stroked two hits apiece. Erin DiMeolo and Sarah Hoffman each doubled and Erica Schroeder stole two bases. March 27, CONCORDIA (Mich.)
The Lady Jackets brushed aside a long layoff to sweep a non-conference doubleheader from Concordia (Mich.), 1-0 and 11-3. It was the first competition in 16 days for Cedarville, 9-7 overall, who had not played since March 11 when they closed out their spring break trip in Florida. Allie Smith fired a two-hitter in the opener with six strikeouts for her fifth shutout of the season to improve to 5-3. The Jackets plated the game's only run in the 3rd inning when Emily Millay walked with one out, stole second an out later, and then came around to score on Jackie Greetham's single. It was one of just three hits for CU. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In the nightcap, Cedarville spotted the Cardinals three runs in the first inning before mounting a comeback. The Jackets scored five runs in the 2nd inning and six more in the 4th to win by the 8-run mercy rule. It was a season-high 11 runs and 13 hits for the hosts. March 11, Warner Southern (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Warner Southern scored single runs in the bottom of the 5th and 6th innings to nip Cedarville, 2-1, in the final game of spring break at the Gene Cusic Classic. The Royals got a two-out run-scoring single in their final at bat before holding off the Jackets in the 7th for the win. Erin DiMeolo, who was 2-for-4 in the game, gave CU a 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning when she produced a two-out bunt single, stole second, and then came around to score on two throwing errors. March 11, Robert Morris (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
The Jackets got an unearned run in the bottom of the 7th inning to beat Robert Morris, 1-0. Aubree Munson walked with one out and advanced to second on a wild pitch. She moved on to third when Erica Schroeder flied out to right and then scored the game's only run when the rightfielder threw the ball away. Kim Bowman's 2nd-inning single was CU's only hit. Winning pitcher Allie Smith tossed a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks. [BOXSCORE]

March 10, Indiana Tech (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Indiana Tech outscored the Jackets in the second game of the day, 8-2. The two teams tallied eight hits apiece, but the Warriors took advantage of six Cedarville errors to grab the victory. Seven different Lady Jackets had hits led by Jackie Greetham, who had two to go with a run scored and a stolen base. Erica Schroeder had two RBI's and Emily Millay doubled. [BOXSCORE]

March 10, Geneva (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Allie Smith fired a two-hitter and struck out a career-high 13 batters to lead Cedarville to a 3-0 victory over Geneva at the Gene Cusic Classic. The senior righthander allowed just two singles and only walked two in squaring her season record at 3-3. Erin DiMeolo and Charissa Rowe each produced two hits and an RBI. DiMeolo was one of four Lady Jackets to record a stolen base. [BOXSCORE]

March 9, Carlow (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Another five-run 1st inning propelled CU to an 8-0 win versus AMC North Division member Carlow. Erin DiMeolo was 3-for-3 with three runs scored plus she swiped two of the Lady Jackets' seven total stolen bases. Aubree Munson drove in four runs with a pair of triples and a sacrifice fly, and Erica Schroeder had two hits and two stolen bases. Kandis Armstrong checked the Celtics on five hits to notch her third win of the season. [BOXSCORE]

March 9, Ashford (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Eight different players combined for 11 hits in an 8-0 victory over Ashford. Cedarville erupted for five runs in the 1st inning and remained in control throughout. Erica Schroeder was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored, and two RBI's. Erin DiMeolo was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases while Charissa Rowe added two hits and three RBI's. Andrea Walker doubled and also stole a base. Winning pitcher Allie Smith allowed three hits in six innings and struck out seven. [BOXSCORE]

March 7, Siena Heights (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
The Lady Jackets broke out to an early 5-0 lead and then held on to defeat Siena Heights, 6-4. Erin DiMeolo continued her offensive rampage going 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI. Aubree Munson was 2-for-4 with a triple while Jackie Greetham stole two bases and scored a run. Allie Smith came on in relief of winning pitcher Kandis Armstrong to get the save. [BOXSCORE]

March 7, Notre Dame (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
American Mideast Conference North Division member Notre Dame pushed across an unearned run in the top of the 7th inning to edge AMC South Division Cedarville, 4-3. The Falcons rallied from a 3-1 deficit to pull out the win. The Lady Jackets scored all three of their runs in the 3rd inning when they produced four of their total six hits. Andrea Walker was 2-for-3, Erin DiMeolo was 2-for-4 with a stolen base, and Erica Schroeder tripled. [BOXSCORE]

March 6, Point Park (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
The Jackets rallied from an early 4-2 deficit against fellow American Mideast Conference member Point Park in the second game of the day in Florida. Cedarville totaled nine hits and stole eight bases against the Pioneers. Emily Millay was 3-for-4 with two steals and three runs scored; Kim Bowman swiped three bases and drove in two runs while going 2-for-3; Aubree Munson was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs and two stolen bases; and Erin DiMeolo was 2-for-4 with a steal and a run scored. March 6, Madonna (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Cedarville lost a 5-1 decision in eight innings to Madonna in day two at the Gene Cusic Classic. The Crusaders plated four runs in the top of the 8th inning to hand the Lady Jackets their fourth extra inning loss of the young season. Erin DiMeolo tripled and scored on Aubree Munson's single in the 4th inning for CU's only run. [BOXSCORE]

March 4, Dominican NY (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Dominican NY shut down the Lady Jackets, 1-0 in eight innings, in the fourth game of the day at the Cusic Classic. Cedarville did not get a hit yet stranded four runners on base. Kandis Armstrong absorbed the loss despite allowing just five hits with eight strikeouts and no walks. [BOXSCORE]

March 4, Cornerstone (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
The Jackets dropped their second straight eight-inning contest with a 3-2 setback to Cornerstone in the first game of a doubleheader. Cedarville rebounded with a convincing 8-0 win in game two. Amanda Einselen went 3-for-4 with an RBI in the opener while Emily Millay and Andrea Walker tallied two hits each. Erin DiMeolo had a hit and an RBI. The Lady Jackets opened the 2006 season with a 3-2 setback in eight innings to Aquinas in the first of four games on the day at the Gene Cusic Classic. Kim Bowman legged out a home run and Amanda Einselen went 2-for-3 at the plate. Losing pitcher Allie Smith deserved a better outcome after striking out 10 batters and walking two.
