Kelsey Jones is one of four seniors on the 2005 Lady Jacket volleyball team.....looks to complete a stellar CU volleyball career and holds most every setting record in the books.....appeared in 52 matches and 181 games during the record-setting 2004 campaign.....set an all-time NAIA record for most assists in a season with 2,403....also set a new school standard for most assist attempts in a season with 5,234.....broke school record for most assists in a match with 79 against Cornerstone.....third on the squad with 88 total blocks and fourth with 615 digs.....earned NAIA All-America Honorable Mention.....named to the NCCAA All-America First Team and honored as the NCCAA National Player of the Year.....voted the American Mideast Conference South Division Setter of the Year and a member of the All-AMC South Divison First Team.....second all-time at CU with 4,353 careeer assists and ranks first all-time with 9.98 assists per game.....registered 50 or more assists in a match on 18 different occasions.
2003 - Appeared in 43 matches and 150 games as the team's primary setter.....set school records for most assists in a single season with 1,820, most assist attempts (4,313) and most assists per game (12.13).....fourth on the squad with 473 digs and 33 service aces.....registered 60 or more assists in a match on six occasions.....posted a careeer-high 23 digs against Shawnee State while hitting double figures 25 other times.....second in the AMC in assists per game (12.13).....named to the NCCAA All-America Second Team.....member of the AMC South Division Second Team and NCCAA Midwest Region Team.
2002 - Played in 30 of 45 matches after recovering from a shoulder injury.....totalled 106 kills, 51 service aces and 188 digs.....recorded a career-high 8 kills on three different occasions.....posted a career-high 15 digs in a match against Malone College.....hit double figures in digs 8 times.
High School - Completed an outstanding three-sport high school career.....played one year at Orange Christian Academy and three years at Cedarvile High School.....four-year letter winner in volleyball.....coached by her mother Bobbie all four years.....earned All-Conference First Team honors each year of high school volleyball.....member of District 9 Second Team in 2000 and 2001.....2000 Xenia Daily Gazette Player of the Year.....posted 314 kills and 1,028 assists during her high school career.....participated in JO volleyball for six seasons.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....All-Conference First Team both junior and senior seasons.....two-year letter winner in tennis.....student body vice-president during senior year.
