Brittany Simpson is a rookie member of the Lady Jacket track team after competing on the CU women's cross country squad this past fall.....ran in all eight meets.....posted a season-best 19:00 effort at the NCCAA Championships which placed 18th of 142 runners.....registered a 19:11 performance at the NAIA National Championships for a 79th place finish of 259 runners.....part of a squad that finished 4th at the NAIA Nationals and 2nd at the NCCAA Championships.

High School - Three-year letter winner in cross country at Kennebunk High School.....placed 4th in the Class A state meet as a senior.....runner-up in the Western Maine Class A meet and achieved the SMAA Academic Excellence Award.....named team's Most Valuable Runner and was an SMAA All Star.....recognized as school's 2004-05 Female Athlete of the Year.....SMAA 1,600 meter champion as a junior.....also participated in basketball and softball.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Carries an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 7/9/86 in Portland, ME.....daughter of Bill and Bev Simpson.....has one older sister and a younger brother.
