Sarah Bailey is the only four-year runner on the 2005 roster.....competed in all eight meets as a junior and finished the year in the #5 position.....placed among the team's top seven finishers seven times.....recorded a season-best 19:47 for the 5K and placed 36th of 144 runners at the NCCAA Nationals.....had a 19:57 effort to finish 31st in the Friendship Invitational.....NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete.
2003 - Ran in six varsity meets as a sophomore.....turned in a career-best 19:46 and placed 15th overall at the Friendship Invitational.....finished 8th at the Wittenberg Invitational in 19:59.....competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase during the outdoor track season.....had a career-best 11:49.23 effort at the AMC Championship to place 6th.
2002 - Appeared in six varsity meets during her rookie season.....ran a season-best 20:02 to place 19th overall at the Friendship Invitational.....finished 33rd of 204 runners at the Louisville Classic in 20:07.....placed 25th in the AMC Championships in 20:26....AMC runner-up during the outdoor track season in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 12:15.10 and was 5th at the NCCAA Nationals in 12:03.74.....qualified for the NAIA Nationals and ran a season-best 12:02.47 in her heat.
High School - Three-year letter winner in cross country at Rochelle Township High School.....three-time all-conference runner and was a sectional qualifier three times.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....led the team in points scored three seasons.....member of 3,200 meter relay sectional championship quartet that holds the school record and qualified for the state meet.....also played three seasons of basketball and one more in tennis.....earned conference all-academic honors in cross country, basketball, and track.....National Honor Society student.....Illinois State Scholar.
Personal - Dean's Honor List student as an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 8/23/83 in Rochelle, IL.....daughter of Homer and Becky Bailey.....has two older brothers.
