Scott Aker has quickly established himself as one of the best golfers the Yellow Jackets have ever had after transferring from nearby Wittenberg University.....set school records last spring for lowest single-season 18-hole scoring average (73.61) as well as lowest 18-hole (67) and 36-hole (140) scores.....became CU's first-ever NCCAA All-American after tying for 10th place overall (75-73).....NAIA All-America honorable mention.....Golf Coaches Association of America NAIA PING All-North Region Team.....shot a school-record 67 and finished with a school-record total of 140 to earn medalist honors at Ohio Dominican.....shot 70-72-142 to win the Wittenberg Invitational.....tied for 1st place at the University of Dayton Invitational with a 73 at NCR Country Club.....shot par or better for 18 holes five times.....unable to play in American Mideast Conference Tournament due to illness.....NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete.
2003-05 - Played in the #2 position both years at Wittenberg University.....averaged 76.4 strokes per 18 holes as a freshman and 77.8 as a sophomore.....earned a spot on the 2005 North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team (74-79-153).....shot a career-low 68 at the Muskingum Invitational during sophomore spring season.
High School - Four-year letter winner in golf at Shawnee High School.....earned a spot on the All-Ohio Division I First Team as a junior after tying for 3rd place.....finished 7th as a sophomore for All-Ohio Division II Second Team honors.....graduated with school records for the lowest nine (32) and 18-hole (68) scores.....averaged a school record 36.2 strokes per nine holes as a senior.....two-time Springfield Area, Clark County, and Central Buckeye Conference Player of the Year.....led school to four county, conference, and sectional titles....member of district championship squad as a sophomore.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Has assembled an impressive golf resume' which includes the 2003 and 2006 Springfield City Amateur championships.....advanced to the final 64 players at the 2005 USGA Amateur Public Links in Lebanon, Ohio (73-71-144) and was seeded #25.....won his opening match 2-and-1 before being eliminated 3-and-2 in the second round.....Dean's List student as a history major at Cedarville University.....born 4/7/85 in Springfield, OH....son of Greg and Sheryl Aker.....has one older brother.
