May 3-4, at American Mideast Conference/NAIA Region IX Championship
Trevor Bowman finished as the AMC and NAIA Region IX runner-up, but the Yellow Jackets came up short in a 3rd-place finish in the 12-team tournament. NAIA No. 11 Malone won its fourth straight title with a 54-hole total of 898, No. 18 Tiffin totaled 905, and Cedarville recorded a 907. Bowman opened with a two-under par 70 and came back with rounds of 73 and 77 for a four-over par total of 220 to place 2nd to earn a spot on the All-AMC Team (top 10 and ties). He was joined on the squad by Scott Aker, who finished his career tied for 9th place at 72-75-78-225. April 23-24, 26th Annual CEDARVILLE INVITATIONAL
Scott Aker and Adam Schlappi each carded three-under par 69's to lead the Yellow Jackets to victory in the 26th Annual Cedarville Invitational. They had not won their own tournament since capturing the trophy in the initial event in 1982. CU shot 308 in the opening round at Beavercreek Golf Club and then shaved five shots off the school record with a 285 at Country Club of the North for a 593 total. Runner-up Ohio Dominican (312-304-616) was 23 shots off the pace. Aker fired his fourth sub-70 round as a Yellow Jacket and finished tied for 2nd place at 79-69-148 along with Trevor Bowman, who turned in rounds of 75-73. Schlappi rebounded from an opening-round 82 with his career-best 69 to finish tied for 7th place at 151. His 36-hole score matched that of teammate Dan Atkeson, who shot 77-74. April 20-21, at Malone Invitational
Cedarville struggled through a second day at the Malone Invitational by placing 6th in the nine-team field at the Tannenhauf Golf Club. The host Pioneers won with a 588 total and the Jackets were 23 shots back at 611. First-round leader Adam Schlappi followed his one-under par 71 with a 78 for a 149 total and a tie for 16th. Freshman Dan Atkeson had rounds of 76-78-154 to tie for 35th. Other CU scores were Matt Krogstad (77-78-155), Scott Aker (80-75-155), and Trevor Bowman (78-78-156). April 13-14, at Mount Vernon Nazarene Invitational
The Yellow Jackets used balanced scoring to maintain their first-round lead and win the Mount Vernon Nazarene Invitational. The final round of the 36-hole event was played in cold and rainy conditions at the par-72 Apple Valley Golf Club. Cedarville had a five-stroke lead after the opening round and that was their margin of victory with scores of 306-304 for a 610 total. Ohio Dominican was next in the 10-team field at 311-304-615 and host Mount Vernon Nazarene was 3rd at 311-307-618. Scott Aker, Dan Atkeson, and Trevor Bowman all totaled a two-day total of 152 to tie for 6th place individually. Aker shot 75-77, Atkeson carded rounds of 78-74, and Bowman tallied back-to-back 76's. Adam Schlappi tied for 12th at 77-77-154 and Brett Bigler had scores of 87-84-171. Matt Krogstad played as an individual and tied for 21st at 78-80-158. [RESULTS]

March 23-24, at Shawnee State Invitational
Matt Krogstad tied for individual runner-up honors and NAIA No. 24 Cedarville placed 2nd as a team at the Shawnee State Invitational. Ohio Dominican won the eight-team event with rounds of 300 and 291 for a 591 total and a four-stroke cushion over the Yellow Jackets, who had 300-295-595. Krogstad, playing as an individual, finished with a one-under par 143 total following rounds of 72-71. He was joined on the all-tournament team by Scott Aker, who placed 4th with scores of 73-74-147, and Trevor Bowman, who tied for 5th at 72-76-148. Other scores for the Yellow Jackets were Brett Bigler (76-73-149), Adam Schlappi (79-74-153), and Dan Atkeson (80-74-154). [RESULTS]

March 12-13, at Berry Invitational
Trevor Bowman fired rounds of 74 and 75 to pace the NAIA No. 24 Yellow Jackets to an 8th-place finish out of 15 teams at the Berry Invitational. Cedarville had team scores of 321 and 309 to total 630 strokes. No. 8 ranked Lee won the 36-hole tournament with a 594 total. Bowman's score of 149 tied for 7th place individually out of the 74 players, who toured the 6,835-yard Stonebridge Golf Club. Scott Aker tied for 33rd place with back-to-back rounds of 79. Oct. 9-10, at NCCAA National Tournament
Cedarville finished in a tie for 3rd place at the NCCAA Nationals and Scott Aker earned All-America honors for the second straight year. The senior was also named to the NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete unit. Indiana Wesleyan successfully defended its title in the 36-hole event with scores of 291-293 for a 584 total. Malone was 2nd at 299-293-592 while the Yellow Jackets (297-299-596) and Bethel (305-291-596) tied for 3rd in the 25-team field. Aker tied for 5th place with rounds of 74-72 for a 146 total with the top 10 places and ties achieving All-America status. Adam Schlappi finished in a tie for 24th (76-75-151). Sept. 29-30, at Ohio Dominican Classic
Cedarville followed back-to-back runner-up finishes to begin the season with a win at the Ohio Dominican Classic. The Jackets put together rounds of 307 and 309 for a 616 total for a five-shot victory over the host Panthers (311-310-621) in the nine-team field at the Cumberland Trail Golf Club. Brett Bigler assembled scores of 76-75-151 to tie for 2nd place which was three shots away from medalist honors. Other CU scores were Adam Schlappi (78-75-153), Trevor Bowman (74-80-154), Dan Atkeson (79-79-158) and Scott Aker (79-80-159). Sept. 22-23, at Wittenberg Invitational
The Yellow Jackets labored through rainy and windy conditions to finish second at the Wittenberg Invitational. Urbana won the the 36-hole event at the Reid Park North Course with rounds of 313-309 for a 622 total while Cedarville was next in the seven-team field at 315-317-632. Scott Aker paced the Jackets with back-to-back rounds of 77 for a score of 154. Other CU scores were Adam Schlappi (79-80-159), Trevor Bowman (79-81-160), Dan Atkeson (80-80-160), and Brett Bigler (81-80-161). The Cedarville "B" squad posted rounds of 335-328-663. Brendan Ojala came through with rounds of 80-79 for a 159 total. Other scores were Brent Martin (81-81-162), Matt Krogstad (87-82-169), Travis Roach (87-86-173), and Daniel Servi (91-86-177). Sept. 8-9, at Tiffin Invitational
Scott Aker fired a 4-under par 68 and Cedarville University broke a 24-year old school record while placing 2nd in the Tiffin Invitational. The 36-hole, 14-team event was played at the Mohawk Golf Club. The Yellow Jackets put together rounds of 297 and 290 for a 587 total to finish 10 shots behind perennial NAIA power Malone, 291-286-577. CU's 290 total broke the old 18-hole team scoring record of 296 set back in 1982. The 36-hole score of 587 eclipsed the previous mark of 598 set last year. Aker's 68 was just one stroke shy of the school record 67 he carded last year. The senior, who is in his second and final year at Cedarville, tied for 4th place overall with a 145 following his opening-round 77. Other Yellow Jacket scores included Brett Bigler, 74-73-147; Trevor Bowman, 75-73-148; Adam Schlappi, 72-77-149; and Dan Atkeson, 76-76-152.
