Grant Knight returns to the Yellow Jackets for the first time in two seasons.....team captain.....played for the Cascade Surge in Salem, Oregon of the Premier Development League this summer.....sat out the entire 2005 campaign with an injury.....labored through an injury-plagued junior year in 2004 in which he missed the final 13 matches of the season.....played in the first 11 matches with 10 starts.....had a goal and an assist for three points.....scored a goal in a 6-2 AMC victory over Shawnee State.....picked up an assist in a 1-0 decision versus Geneva.....NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete.

Grant Knight

2003 - Made an immediate contribution in his first season with the Yellow Jackets after transferring from Ohio Wesleyan.....ranked fourth on the team in scoring with six goals and three assists for 15 points.....voted to the NCCAA Midwest Region First Team.....NCCAA All-America honorable mention and All-AMC South Division honorable mention.....scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory at Malone and was credited with the game-winner in a 3-0 decision versus Walsh.....tallied all three of his assists in a 4-1 win versus Mount Vernon Nazarene.

2002 - Played his freshman season at Ohio Wesleyan, who posted an 18-4-1 record and won the North Coast Athletic Conference championship.....appeared in 14 matches with one start.

High School - Four-year letter winner at Wellington High School.....All-Ohio First Team selection as a senior.....named the Lorain County Conference Player of the Year and the Lorain County Player of the Year.....four-time all-conference and four-time all-county pick.....twice named to the All-Greater Cleveland Team and was a two-time Team MVP.....played on two conference championship teams.....three-year letter-winner in track & field.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean's List student as a psychology major at Cedarville University.....born 6/3/84 in Wellington, OH.....son of John and Kay Knight.....has two older brothers.
