Justin Herbert adds depth to the Yellow Jackets' distance running unit as a third-year performer.....appeared in all eight varsity cross country meets in the fall and helped lead CU to a runner-up finish in the NCCAA and 10th-place finish at the NAIA Nationals.....All-AMC Second Team honoree after finishing 8th in the NAIA Region IX meet with a career-best 25:49 time in the 8K.....CU's #3 finisher at the NAIA in 26:31.

2005-06 - Ran in only three indoor meets.....placed 7th in the NCCAA 5K in 16:11.89.....best time in the event was 15:55.85 at the Cedarville Invitational.....did not run during the outdoor season.....ran in all eight varsity cross country meets as a sophomore and finished the season as Cedarville's #3 runner.....placed among the team's top seven finishers each time out and was in the top three seven times.....posted a season-best effort of 26:18 at the Cedarville Invitational which placed 19th overall.....clocked in 26:19 at the NAIA Nationals and finished 28th of 228 runners at the Southeast Classic in 26:36.

2004-05 - Participated in multiple distance events during the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.....placed 3rd in the 5K race walk in the American Mideast Conference Championship.....completed his freshman cross country season as CU's #6 runner.....ran in all eight varsity meets with a season-best time in the 8K of 26:32 at the Louisville Classic.

High School - Three-time All-Greater Western Ohio Conference cross country runner at Division I Wayne High School.....four-year letter winner.....three-time all-district and all-area performer.....Team MVP.....four-time regional qualifier.....member of two district championship teams.....earned three letters in track & field.....twice qualified for regional competition.....part of three-time league, district, and regional championship squad.....team captain for both cross country and track programs.....selected to the GWOC All-Academic Team.....U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award recipient.....Junior Olympic national qualifier as a senior and was state runner-up as a junior.

Personal - Carries a middle childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 8/7/86 in Pittsburgh, PA.....son of Andy and Sandy Herbert.....has an older brother and a younger brother.
