Daniel Roberts is one of the most highly anticipated distance running recruits the Yellow Jackets have ever had.....will focus on the indoor mile and outdoor 5K on the track.....wrapped up an outstanding rookie cross country season in the fall by placing 5th at the NAIA Nationals for All-America honors.....NCCAA national runner-up.....American Mideast Conference and NAIA Region IX champion in a season-best time of 24:40 for the 8K.....placed 4th in the All-Ohio.

High School - Graduated from Crested Butte Academy in Colorado after competing for three seasons at Vicksburg High School in Michigan.....two-time qualifier for the Foot Locker Cross Country Nationals which includes 40 participants from across the country.....finished 12th for All-America honors at the 2005 meet in San Diego with a time of 15:27 for the 5,000 meters.....qualified for the nationals with a 6th-place finish in the Midwest Regional.....in 2004, he was 7th in the regional and 18th at the nationals.....Michigan Division II state cross country champion as a junior at Vicksburg with a winning time of 15:23.....two-time all-state performer.....personal-best cross country 5K time of 15:04.....placed 7th in the 2-mile at the 2006 Nike Outdoor Track & Field Nationals with a career-best time of 8:58.10.....2005 All-American after placing 5th in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:11.8.....state 1,600 meter champion on the track as a sophomore and junior at Vicksburg along with winning the state 3,200 meter title his sophomore year.....set the state record in the 1,600 with a personal-best 4:09.45 effort as a junior.....national freshmen mile champion.....other personal-bests are 51.8 seconds (400 meters), 1:55.10 (800), 4:09.83 (mile), and 9:18.20 (3,200).....Academic All-State.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Born 3/19/87 in Kalamazoo, MI.....son of Gary and Denise Roberts.....older sister, Sarah Mark, was an NAIA All-America distance runner for the Lady Jackets during her cross country and track career from 2000 through 2004.....also has three older brothers, another older sister, and a younger brother.
