April 27, Judson (NCCAA National Tournament)
Judson brought the Lady Jacket softball season to a close with a 3-2 victory in eight innings during the opening round of the NCCAA Nationals at Indiana Wesleyan. The 10-team event was shortened to a single-elimination tournament due to excessive rain. The #8 seeded Eagles, 18-23, broke a scoreless tie by pushing across two runs in the top of the 5th inning. Cedarville, who entered as the #9 seed, tied it up in the 6th when Aubree Munson clubbed a two-run homer after Sara Koepke led off the frame with a single. A lead off homer by Judson in the 8th accounted for the final. The Jackets stranded runners at second and third to end the contest. Koepke was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Jessica Reyes stroked her ninth double of the season. Munson's homer gave her a team-high 17 runs batted in for the year. [BOXSCORE]

April 24, URBANA
Cedarville rallied to nip Urbana, 2-1, in the final AMC South Division twinbill of the season while the Blue Knights won the nightcap, 5-3. The Yellow Jackets, 12-26 overall, end the AMC schedule at 4-10. CU was handcuffed on one hit and trailed 1-0 through five innings of the opener. Aubree Munson delivered a two-out single to score Jessica Reyes with the tying run in the 6th. Becca Prokop's two-out single in the 7th inning just over the outstretched glove of the rightfielder brought Charissa Rowe home with the winning tally. Junior righthander Kandis Armstrong tossed a three-hitter for her sixth victory of the season. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Urbana, 18-20 and 8-4 AMC, turned around a 3-2 deficit in game two with two runs in the 6th inning and an insurance run in the 7th. Emily Millay was 2-for-4 with a double and all three RBI's. Rowe and Andrea Walker also doubled. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 21, INDIANA WESLEYAN (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
The Lady Jackets lost, 7-2, to eventual NCCAA Midwest Region champion Indiana Wesleyan and was later extended an at-large bid which they accepted for their third straight trip to the NCCAA Nationals in Marion, Ind. on April 26-28. IWU scored twice in their first at bat to take immediate control. Jessica Reyes tallied two hits including a double, Aubree Munson stroked her fifth triple of the season to go along with a single, and Crystal States provided a double. Reyes, Aubree Munson, Becca Prokop, and Andrea Walker were all voted to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team for the 2007 season. Munson, Prokop, Reyes, and Sara Koepke were all-tournament selections. April 21, SPRING ARBOR (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
The Lady Jackets rallied to surprise Spring Arbor, 8-7, on the final day of the NCCAA Midwest Regional. Cedarville trailed 7-2 before scoring three times in the bottom of the 5th inning. After leaving the bases loaded without scoring in the 6th, CU struck for three runs in the 7th to win. Two runs came across on wild pitches and Jessica Reyes delivered a two-out double to score Andrea Walker to complete the comeback. Reyes, Sara Koepke, and Crystal States all had three hits each to fuel a 14-hit attack. Becca Prokop added two hits and two RBI's. Reyes pitched one inning of relief and earned her first collegiate pitching victory. [BOXSCORE]

April 20, INDIANA WESLEYAN (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
The offense continued to struggle for host Cedarville during an 8-2 setback to Indiana Wesleyan in the NCCAA Midwest Regional. The Lady Jackets rallied from an early deficit to tie the score, 2-2, but the Wildcats pulled away with three runs apiece in the 5th and 6th innings. IWU, 20-9, pounded 18 hits while limiting Cedarville to five. Becca Prokop tripled in a run while Aubree Munson and Crystal States tallied doubles for the Jackets, 10-24. [BOXSCORE]

April 20, SPRING ARBOR (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
The Lady Jackets lost to Spring Arbor, 9-1 in the first game of the NCCAA Midwest Regional. CU scored first when Charissa Rowe singled home Aubree Munson. However, the Cougars put together four runs in the 3rd and five more in the 6th to end it on the 8-run mercy rule. Jessica Reyes had two of the Jackets' five hits and Sara Koepke doubled. Spring Arbor, who later nipped Indiana Wesleyan 2-1 to improve to 21-17 overall, assembled a 13-hit attack. [BOXSCORE]

April 17, SHAWNEE STATE
The Lady Jackets did all of their scoring in one inning to beat Shawnee State, 6-2, and salvage a split of their AMC South Division twinbill. The visiting Bears took the opener, 9-6. Trailing 1-0 entering the bottom of the 4th inning of the nightcap, Cedarville crossed the plate six times to gain the momentum. Charissa Rowe and Becca Prokop bunted home the first two runs and Jessica Reyes later tripled in a run. Sara Koepke had two hits for the Lady Jackets, 10-22 and 3-9 AMC and winning pitcher Mallory White went the distance for her fifth victory of the season. The Bears are 12-8 and 2-2 AMC. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE] Shawnee State scored the first eight runs in the opener and then held off a CU comeback. It was 8-0 before the hosts scored four times in the 3rd inning culminating in a three-run double by Andrea Walker. Aubree Munson had a pair of hits and drove in two runs, Emily Millay scored twice, Koepke had two hits including a double, and Reyes added two hits. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE]

April 14, at Malone
Cedarville hammered a season-high 15 hits and defeated Malone, 7-5, in the first game of an AMC South Division twinbill. The Pioneers rallied to win the second contest, 4-1. In the opener, the Lady Jackets stroked four doubles including a string of four straight during a three-run 1st inning. Crystal States was 3-for-4 with three runs batted in and a run scored. Jenna Fox had a pair of hits and scored twice while Emily Millay and Jessica Reyes added two hits each. Freshman righthander Mallory White was the winning pitcher and Kandis Armstrong got the final three outs to get the save. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Malone, 7-17 overall and 2-6 AMC, struck for four runs, three of which were unearned, in the bottom of the 6th inning to win game two. Charissa Rowe tripled and scored for Cedarville, 9-21 and 2-8 AMC,. The only other hits were singles by Reyes, Sarah Hoffman, and Becca Prokop. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 13, at Walsh
Walsh came from behind twice to sweep an AMC South Division doubleheader from the Lady Jackets. The Cavaliers won by scores of 9-3 and 9-2. Cedarville scored three times in the 3rd inning for a 3-1 lead in the opener. Walsh exploded for six runs in the 4th to take command. Jessica Reyes had a pair of hits. Aubree Munson tripled in two runs and Emily Millay added a triple. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Jackets, 8-20 overall and 1-7 AMC, took a 2-1 advantage after their second at bat in the nightcap. Two runs in the 2nd gave Walsh, 19-20 and 5-3 AMC, the lead for good and the hosts tacked on a pair of three-run innings. Munson had two hits including her fourth triple of the season. April 3, MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
Cedarville beat Mount Vernon Nazarene, 6-3, for their first American Mideast Conference South Division victory of the season. The Cougars won the nightcap, 7-1, which was halted in the 7th inning due to lightning. The Lady Jackets jumped out to a 3-0 lead against MVNU. After the Cougars tied it with three runs in the top of the 5th inning, Cedarville responded with three runs in the bottom half after the first two batters had been retired. Sara Koepke walked and scored the go ahead run on a double by Andrea Walker. Jenna Fox and Emily Millay delivered run-scoring singles to provide the final cushion. Fox was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and winning pitcher Kandis Armstrong struck out four. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Three-run innings in the 3rd and 4th propelled MVNU, 16-4 overall and 2-2 AMC, in the second game. CU's only run came in the 5th when Becca Prokop singled and later scored on a two-out hit by Charissa Rowe. The Jackets are 8-18 and 1-5 AMC. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 29, OHIO DOMINICAN
Ohio Dominican rapped out a total of 26 hits to swipe an AMC South Division doubleheader from the Lady Jackets, 7-4 and 6-0. Cedarville, 7-17 overall and 0-4 AMC, has dropped six straight. The Panthers hammered 14 hits and stole seven bases in the opener. They broke a 2-2 tie with four runs in the 5th inning. Jenna Fox was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Jessica Reyes tripled in a run and scored twice while Crystal States had an RBI double. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] ODU, 4-0 in the AMC and whose overall record of 6-15 is deceptive following a demanding spring break schedule, plated five runs on seven hits in the 1st inning of the nightcap. Freshman pitcher Mallory White settled down to allow just one run on five hits the rest of the way. Reyes was 2-for-3 with a triple. Singles from Aubree Munson and Becca Prokop were the only other hits for the Jackets. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 27, TIFFIN
Three-time defending AMC North Division champion and NAIA No. 15 Tiffin swept a twinbill from AMC South Division member Cedarville, 5-2 and 3-1. The doubleheader, originally scheduled for the Dragons' home field, was moved to CU due to the weather and field conditions in Tiffin. The Dragons were still the home team in both games. The only lead of the day for the Lady Jackets came in the 1st inning of the opener when they scored twice on a two-run single by Crystal States. Tiffin broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the 4th to account for the final. Jessica Reyes was 2-for-2 with a run scored, Aubree Munson doubled, and Emily Millay had the other run. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The nightcap was scoreless until the Dragons, 7-5 overall, crossed the plate twice in the 4th inning and one more time in the 5th. Cedarville scored in the 7th when Reyes opened with a double and Munson drove her in with a double. The Lady Jackets, 7-15, loaded the bases with one out but failed to take advantage. March 24, at Rio Grande
Rio Grande took advantage of eight Cedarville errors on the day to steal an American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader. The Redwomen won by scores of 6-5 and 5-2. The heartbreaker was the opener in which the Lady Jackets carried a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the 7th inning and retired the first batter. Then, three CU errors led to a four-run rally by Rio with the final three scores all unearned. Andrea Walker doubled and had two of the team's five hits. Jessica Reyes doubled in a run, stole a base, and scored. Emily Millay had two steals and scored three times. The Jackets committed six total errors in the contest. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Redwomen, 8-4 overall and 2-0 AMC, scored just one earned run in the nightcap to pull off the sweep. CU's bats were quiet with five hits total from five different players. Reyes and Sara Koepke stroked doubles for the Jackets, 7-13 and 0-2. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 20, at Findlay
Freshman Becca Prokop stroked six hits and drove in five runs to lead Cedarville to a doubleheader sweep at NCAA Division II Findlay. The Lady Jackets won by scores of 6-1 and 8-7. Crystal States' two-run triple capped a five-run 4th inning for CU in the opener. Prokop and Emily Millay delivered RBI singles and Aubree Munson had a sacrifice fly. Junior righthander Kandis Armstrong allowed five hits while winning her third straight decision. Prokop had three hits including a double and two RBI's with States and Millay adding two hits apiece. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Munson tripled home Andrea Walker with the go ahead run in the 7th inning as Cedarville rallied for the win in the nightcap. The host Oilers had taken a 7-6 lead with two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. However, Sarah Hoffman led off the 7th with a double and later scored the tying run on an RBI groundout from Prokop. Munson then delivered her second triple of the season with two outs to carry the Jackets, 7-11 overall, to victory. Prokop totaled three hits and three RBI's while Walker, Sara Koepke, and Jenna Fox had two hits each. Findlay drops to 2-14. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 17, Madonna (Cedarville Classic)
Madonna improved to 9-6 on the season after hammering 15 hits including three for extra bases in a 9-1 win over the Lady Jackets. The Crusaders put the game away with four runs in the 5th. Crystal States doubled and tallied two of the four total hits registered by the Jackets, who fall to 5-11 overall. [BOXSCORE]

March 17, Geneva (Cedarville Classic)
The Lady Jackets opened the home schedule with a 7-5 win over Geneva in chilly conditions at the Cedarville Classic. The temperature for the first pitch at noon was 29 degrees with a wind chill of 18. CU broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the 6th inning with Geneva. Sara Koepke drove in two runs with a bases loaded double and Jenna Fox followed with an RBI single. Fox was 3-for-4 with two runs scored; Koepke was 2-for-4 and scored twice; Aubree Munson had a pair of hits; and Sarah Hoffman had two RBI's. Kandis Armstrong fanned eight batters during her complete-game victory. Geneva dropped to 5-8 overall. [BOXSCORE]

March 10, Siena Heights (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
The Lady Jackets scored in their final at bat for the second straight game to nip Siena Heights, 4-3. With the contest tied 3-3 heading to the bottom of the 7th inning, Crystal States was hit by a pitch and eventually scored the winner on a wild pitch. Jenna Fox was 2-for-4 with a run scored, Aubree Munson scored and doubled in another run, while Rachel Ross and Sarah Hoffman also recorded RBI's. [BOXSCORE]

March 10, Geneva (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Charissa Rowe singled home Andrea Walker in the bottom of the 7th inning to give Cedarville a 3-2 win over Geneva. The Lady Jackets trailed 2-1 entering their final at bat and tied the contest on Walker's RBI single. Sara Koepke had two hits and Emily Millay tallied two stolen bases with a runs scored. Winning pitcher Kandis Armstrong allowed two unearned runs on four hits with five strikeouts. [BOXSCORE]

March 9, Cornerstone (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Cornerstone prevailed over Cedarville in a doubleheader, 7-4 and 4-3. The Eagles scored five times in the 1st inning of the opener. The Jackets responded with four runs in the 2nd to account for their offense. Jessica Reyes was 3-for-4 with a double, home run, a run scored, and two RBI's. Crystal States and Aubree Munson added two hits each. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Cornerstone stunned CU with three runs in the 7th inning of the nightcap to pull out a 4-3 win. Losing pitcher Kandis Armstrong only allowed five hits and struck out eight. Jenna Fox tallied two hits and two runs scored while Sara Koepke recorded two hits. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 8, Siena Heights (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Siena Heights took two games from Cedarville at the Gene Cusic Classic, 8-5 and 4-1. Sara Koepke had two hits with two runs scored and Jenna Fox knocked in two runs in the first game. Kandis Armstrong fanned seven batters in a complete-game performance, but the defense allowed five unearned runs on five errors. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Siena Heights checked the Lady Jacket bats on no hits in the second contest. CU manufactured an unearned run in the 6th inning. Freshman pitcher Mallory White came up with seven strikeouts while going the distance. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 6, Cornerstone (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
The Lady Jackets ended a five-game slide with an 8-4 victory over Cornerstone at the Gene Cusic Classic. Jessica Reyes was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI's. Aubree Munson was 2-for-3 with a double, Crystal States was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Charissa Rowe scored twice. [BOXSCORE]

March 6, Saint Mary of the Woods (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Sara Koepke tripled and homered in an 8-4 setback to Saint Mary of the Woods in a contest that lasted eight innings. The Lady Jackets tied the contest at 2-2 with a run in the bottom of the 7th, but the Pomeroys exploded for six runs in the 8th to take command. Aubree Munson tripled, Jessica Reyes added a solo home run, and Emily Millay was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. [BOXSCORE]

March 5, Cornerstone (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Cornerstone turned the tables on the Lady Jackets with an 8-0 decision after Cedarville had blanked the Eagles, 5-0, two days earlier. The Jackets recorded just three hits total on singles by Crystal States, Becca Prokop, and Jessica Reyes. [BOXSCORE]

March 5, Indiana Tech (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Indiana Tech edged the Jackets, 2-1, in the first game of the day. The Warriors scored both of their runs in the 5th inning. CU's lone tally came in the bottom of the 7th when Sara Koepke singled home Becca Prokop. Crystal States had two of the team's six hits with a single and a double. [BOXSCORE]

March 3, Indiana Tech (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Indiana Tech swept a twinbill from the Jackets by scores of 14-2 and 6-3 to complete a four-game opening day for CU. Jenna Fox and Crystal States drove in the runs in the opener. The Jackets had five hits total including a triple from Emily Millay. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Millay tallied two of the team's six hits in the nightcap. March 3, Cornerstone (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Kandis Armstrong tossed a complete-game shutout as she blanked Cornerstone, 5-0, in CU's second game of the season. The junior righthander tossed a two-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks. Seven different Lady Jackets provided hits. Charissa Rowe was 1-for-3, scored twice, and drove in a run. Andrea Walker had a double, a run scored, and an RBI. Aubree Munson added a double while Jessica Reyes and Crystal States each singled in runs. [BOXSCORE]

March 3, Siena Heights (Gene Cusic Classic; Fort Myers, FL)
Cedarville opened the season with a 3-0 setback to Siena Heights at the Gene Cusic Classic. The Lady Jackets were checked on five hits from five different players. Three of CU's hits were doubles off the bats of Jessica Reyes, Aubree Munson, and Andrea Walker. Four errors led to two unearned runs for Siena Heights, but the Jackets were able to turn three double plays in the contest. [BOXSCORE]
