Rachel Thompson is back for her third season with the Lady Jacket volleyball program.....appeared in 46 matches and 134 games as a setter/defensive specialist.....recorded 50 assists in three wins over Central State.....posted a season-high 14 digs in a victory against Taylor.....registered 132 digs on the year with a .913 serving percentage.....fourth on the team with 26 service aces.

2004 - Appeared in 21 matches and 42 games as the backup setter as a freshman.....recorded a season-high 38 assists and 4 service aces against Central State.....registered a season-best 15 digs in a win versus Taylor.

High School - Recorded an outstanding two-sport career at Kidron Central Christian High School.....three-year letter winner in volleyball.....helped lead team to the OHSAA Division IV semifinals her senior season.....team finished with a 26-2 record and finished fifth in the final OHSVCA state poll.....holds school record for most assists in a season (511).....ranked second on the squad with 19 service aces and fifth in digs with 96.....high school team registered an overall record of 72-9 during the last three campaigns.....volleyball squad captured sectional titles in 2001, 2002 and 2003.....two-time district champions in 2002 and 2003.....regional champs in 2003.....named to the All-Ohio Division IV All-State Third Team her senior season.....member of the All-District IV First Team.....participated in the 2003 State of Ohio All-Star match and in the District IV and Wayne County All-Star matches.....earned four letters in softball.....team captured sectional titles in 2003 and 2004.....ranks first all time at KCCHS in assist percentage (.355) and ranks third in total assist attempts (1,891) and career assists (671).....also participated in basketball for two years.....awarded the Todd Neuenswander Scholarship.....earned the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Award.....former high school teammate Sarah Zeltman is also a member of the Lady Jacket volleyball squad.

Personal - Carries a criminal justice major at Cedarville University.....born 8/7/85 in Barberton, OH.....daughter of Rod and Deb Thompson.....has two older brothers Tim and Steve, who played basketball at The College of Wooster.
