Kristin Merkel returns to the Lady Jacket soccer program for her second season after participating on the junior varsity squad in 2004.....will serve as a team captain this upcoming season.....appeared in 11 matches with seven starts last fall.....lone goal of the year came in a 2-1 loss at Tiffin.....played a key role as a midfielder on the CU defensive unit.

High School - Produced a three-sport career at Salem Christian School.....four-year letter winner in soccer.....voted captain and team MVP all four years at Salem Christian.....all-time leader in goals and assists.....club soccer squad advanced to the U-19 semifinals in 2004.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....team captured the 2003-04 SEPAC title.....holds school record for most points in a career with 1,080.....named to all-tournament team three consecutive seasons.....also four-year letter winner in volleyball.....team won the SEPAC championship in 2003......named to the all-tournament team during sophomore year.....class valedictorian.

Personal - Dean's List student as an integrated language arts major at Cedarville University....born 11/20/85 in Sellersville, PA.....daughter of Thomas and Tori Merkel.....older brother, Kyle, is a CU grad while younger brother, Kerry, is a freshman and member of the soccer team at Eastern University.
