Karen Ruhlman returns for her fourth campaign with the Cedarville University women's soccer program.....started all 16 matches in the 2005 campaign.....team's second-leading scorer with four goals and one assist for nine points.....voted to the All-American Mideast Conference South Division Second Team.....earned NCCAA Midwest Region Team honors.....named an NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete.
2004 - Appeared in all 23 matches with 10 starts as a sophomore.....third-leading scorer with 24 points.....third-best in goals (9) and assists (6).....scored a goal and added an assist in season-opening 3-2 victory versus Cornerstone.....scored one goal with an assist in three other contests.....netted two goals in 4-0 shutout over Roberts Wesleyan.
2003 - Appeared in 15 matches as a freshman.....sixth on the squad in scoring with three goals for six points.....netted the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Grace.
High School - Completed a three-sport career at Shorecrest High School.....led team in scoring during her freshman season.....named Top Soccer Performer of the Week by Everett Herald and Shoreline Weekly Newspapers.....member of the Premier 1 league U-19 club team that garnered the 2003 state championship.....two-year letter winner in basketball.....voted Most Improved in 1999 and 2002.....also four-year letter winner in track & field.....voted Most Improved in 2003.....valedictorian of senior class.....National Honor Society student.....earned the Ross Hansen Memorial Athletic and Academic Achievement Award in 2003.
Personal - Dean's List student as an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 10/31/84 in Seattle, WA.....daughter of Rev. Tom and Becky Ruhlman.....has two older sisters, three older brothers, one younger brother and a younger sister.....older brother, Scott, ran on the Yellow Jacket cross country and track squads from 1996 through 2000.....older sister, Michelle, played soccer for the Lady Jackets from 1998 through 2002 and is second all-time in points (95), goals (34), and assists (27).
