Laura McCully begins her third and final season as a member of the women's tennis team at Cedarville University after transferring from Grand Valley State University.....finished the 2006 campaign with an 11-10 record playing at #3 singles.....combined with partner Betsy Verwys to register a 12-6 mark at #2 doubles.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....AMC Scholar-Athlete.....holds a 21-16 all-time singles record.
2005 - Posted a 10-6 record in the #4 singles slot.....teamed up with Jolene Bennington to register an 8-12 mark at #2 doubles.....one of three Lady Jackets to win a singles match in a 5-4 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic in the National Christian College Athletic Association semifinals.
High School - Three-year letter winner at Grand Rapids Baptist High School.....lost just two matches as a senior and captured the state regional title at #2 singles.....named to the all-area team for her efforts in 2002.....high school squad earned a regional championship and placed third in the state in 2002.....named team's Most Valuable Player after junior season.....regional champion at #3 singles.....team posted regional runner-up finishes in 2000 and 2001.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean's list student as a marketing major at Cedarville University.....born 1/10/85 in Lebanon, IN.....daughter of Michael and Mary McCully.....has an older brother and a younger brother.
