May 10, Indiana Wesleyan (NCCAA National Tournament - Semifinal)
NAIA No. 14 and unbeaten Indiana Wesleyan ended a terrific run by the Lady Jackets at the NCCAA National Tournament with a 5-0 victory over CU in the championship match. Cedarville, who was also the 2004 runner-up, closes the campaign with a 13-7 overall record. The Wildcats, 22-0, won all three doubles matches by identical 8-3 scores. They wrapped up their third banner in the past five years with victories at #3 and #4 singles. Alisa Rutt, the squad's #1 singles player, earned a spot on the NCCAA All-America First Team and was then joined by freshman Georgiann McClure for a position on the All-America First Team in doubles. Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys were selected to the All-America First Team in singles and to the Second Team in doubles. [RESULTS]

May 9, North Greenville (NCCAA National Tournament - Semifinal)
Cedarville rallied to stun North Greenville, 5-4, in the NCCAA national semifinals to earn a spot in the championship match against Indiana Wesleyan. CU, 13-6 overall, fell into a 4-1 hole against the NCAA Division II Crusaders, but rebounded to win with a comeback that featured a trio of three-set singles victories. The big wins came from #2 Laura McCully, #4 Melinda Workman, and #6 Olivia Dolph, who all went the three-set distance. [RESULTS]

May 9, Emmanuel (NCCAA National Tournament)
The final pool play match at the NCCAA Nationals resulted in a 5-2 Lady Jacket win versus Emmanuel. The top two doubles teams gave Cedarville an early 2-1 lead. Alisa Rutt hung on for a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 victory at #1 singles. Other points came from #3 Betsy Verwys and #6 Rachel Arthur. [RESULTS]

May 8, Bethel (Ind.) (NCCAA National Tournament)
The Lady Jackets avenged a mid-season 6-3 home setback to Bethel with a convincing 5-1 win over the Pilots this time at the NCCAA Nationals. CU swept the doubles and then garnered singles wins from #2 Laura McCully and #4 Melinda Workman. Following an 8-0 start to the season, Bethel handed the Lady Jacket their first loss on April 13 when they had to play without McCully's services. [RESULTS]

May 8, Dallas Baptist (NCCAA National Tournament)
It took more than six hours to finish, but Cedarville pulled out a 5-4 marathon victory against Dallas Baptist in the first match at the NCCAA National Tournament. Olivia Dolph finally wrapped up the winning point at #6 singles by rallying for a 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 victory. Alisa Rutt and Laura McCully won matches at the top two singles spots after Cedarville had won two of the three doubles matches. [RESULTS]

May 3, WALSH (NAIA Region IX Tournament)
Top-seeded Walsh recovered from a slow start in doubles to defeat host and No. 4 Cedarville, 6-3, in the NAIA Region IX Tournament semifinals. The Lady Jackets, 9-6 overall, won two of the three doubles matches for the early lead. The #2 duo of Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys pulled out a 9-7 win while the #3 team of Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph won by the same 9-7 count. The Cavaliers, 15-4, dominated singles play to clinch the victory. The lone CU point was posted by #5 Georgiann McClure, 7-5, 5-7, 11-9. [RESULTS]

April 28, ROBERTS WESLEYAN
Cedarville ended a five-match losing streak with a convincing 9-0 victory over American Mideast Conference foe Roberts Wesleyan in the final regular season contest. The Lady Jackets enter the NAIA Region IX Tournament at 9-5 overall and 6-3 AMC. Cedarville dropped seven games total in sweeping the three doubles matches. The Jackets then took all six singles matches in straight sets. The winners were Alisa Rutt, Laura McCully, Betsy Verwys, Melinda Workman, Georgiann McClure, and Olivia Dolph. [RESULTS]

April 24, at Tiffin
American Mideast Conference foe Tiffin sent the Lady Jackets reeling to their fifth straight setback in an 8-1 decision. Cedarville, 8-5 overall and 5-3 AMC, has also dropped three conference matches in a row. The lone point for the visitors came at #4 singles where Melinda Workman posted a 6-3, 7-5 victory. After sweeping the three doubles matches, the host Dragons won four singles matches in straight sets and rallied to take the other in three sets. [RESULTS]

April 20, WALSH
Walsh won the American Mideast Conference title with a 7-2 victory at Cedarville. The Cavaliers, 14-4 overall, won all nine of their league matches with the Jackets falling to 8-4 and 5-2 AMC following their fourth straight setback. Laura McCully and Carissa Parmerlee had an 8-6 victory at #2 doubles. Alisa Rutt pulled out a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win at #1 singles. [RESULTS]

April 17, at Ohio Dominican
Ohio Dominican dealt the Lady Jackets their first American Mideast Conference loss with a 7-2 outcome. Cedarville, 8-3 overall and 5-1 AMC, has dropped three straight matches. CU trailed 2-1 coming out of doubles with the #3 duo of Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph posting an 8-3 victory. Georgiann McClure needed three sets at #5 singles to wrap up a 7-5, 2-6, 10-5 win. The other five singles matches were all decided in straight sets. [RESULTS]

April 14, INDIANA-SOUTHEAST (Springfield Racquet Club)
Indiana-Southeast overwhelmed the Lady Jackets, 8-1, in a non-conference match played indoors at the Springfield Racquet Club. IUSE improved to 14-2 overall while Cedarville, 8-2, lost for the second straight time. The one point for the Jackets was a 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 victory at #1 singles by Alisa Rutt. She upped her season record to 8-0 and her career mark to 31-11. [RESULTS]

April 13, BETHEL (Ind.)
Cedarville suffered its first loss of the 2007 campaign in a 6-3 decision to Bethel (Ind.) in a non-conference match. The Lady Jackets drop to 8-1 on the season. CU's lone point in doubles came from #2 Betsy Verwys and Carissa Parmerlee by an 8-3 score. The Jackets grabbed points at the top two singles spots. Alisa Rutt was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at #1 singles while #2 Verwys rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory. Cedarville was playing without the services of #2 singles player Laura McCully. [RESULTS]

April 3, SHAWNEE STATE (Springfield Racquet Club)
The Lady Jackets kept their season-opening unbeaten streak alive with an 8-1 victory over Shawnee State in an American Mideast Conference match. The contest was played indoors at the Springfield Racquet Club. Cedarville, 8-0 overall and 5-0 AMC, swept the three doubles matches. The winners were #1 Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys (8-6), #2 Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph (8-6), and #3 Georgiann McClure and Carissa Parmerlee (8-4). The Jackets won singles matches #2 through #6 all in straight sets. Posting victories were Verwys, Workman, Dolph, McClure, and Parmerlee. [RESULTS]

March 31, at Malone
It was a struggle to stay among the ranks of the unbeaten, but Cedarville came away with a 6-3 American Mideast Conference victory at Malone. The Lady Jackets were able to push their record to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the AMC. CU led 2-1 after doubles with #2 Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys posting one win, 8-2. The other came from #3 Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph, 8-4. Four victories in singles clinched the outcome. Straight-set winners were #1 Alisa Rutt (6-1, 6-2), #2 McCully (7-5, 6-3), and #6 Georgiann McClure (6-0, 6-1). The other three matches went three sets with #4 Workman pulling out a 2-6, 7-5, 6-3. March 30, at Ursuline
The Lady Jackets opened their two-match American Mideast Conference weekend with a 9-0 victory at Ursuline. Cedarville is off to a 6-0 start overall and 3-0 in the AMC. The Jackets grabbed the momentum after sweeping the three doubles matches. The closest score was at the #3 position where Anna Strayhorn and Sarah Andersen stepped in for an 8-4 victory. The other points were won by #1 Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure (8-3) and #2 Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys (8-1). Cedarville won all six singles matches in straight sets. Rutt at #1 and #3 Verwys were 6-0, 6-0 winners. Other singles victories were registered by #2 McCully (6-2, 6-2), #4 Melinda Workman (6-1, 6-4), #5 Olivia Dolph (6-4, 6-4), and #6 McClure (6-2, 6-2). March 29, WITTENBERG
Cedarville remained undefeated with a 5-4 non-conference victory over Wittenberg in the first-ever night match played on campus. The Lady Jackets improved to 5-0 with the victory. CU grabbed a 3-0 lead after doubles. The #1 duo of Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure posted an 8-6 decision to lead the way. Other points came from #2 Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys (8-0) and #3 Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph (8-4). The Jackets clinched the victory with wins from their top two singles players. Rutt needed three sets for victory at the #1 slot by 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 scores after #2 Laura McCully won 6-3, 6-4. [RESULTS]

March 24, at Geneva
The unbeaten Lady Jackets knocked off Geneva, 6-3, in an American Mideast Conference match. Cedarville is 4-0 on the season. The Jackets took command after winning all three doubles matches. Posting the victories were Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure (8-4), Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys (8-3), and Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph (8-5). Rutt (3-6, 6-3, 10-2) and McCully (6-2, 6-4) secured points at the top two singles spots. The other win came from #4 Carissa Parmerlee, 6-4, 6-4. [RESULTS]

March 23, at Carlow
Cedarville began American Mideast Conference action with a convincing 8-1 victory at Carlow. The Lady Jackets moved to 3-0 overall with the win. CU dropped just one game total in sweeping the three doubles matches. Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure posted an 8-1 decision at the top spot. Recording 8-0 wins were #2 Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys as well as #3 Anna Strayhorn and Roslyn Sakaguchi. The Jackets' five singles wins came in straight sets. Notching the points were Melinda Workman, Olivia Dolph, Rachel Arthur, Carissa Parmerlee, and Jade Burley. [RESULTS]

March 13, EARLHAM
The Lady Jackets opened the outdoor portion of their schedule with a 6-3 non-conference win over Earlham. Cedarville took a 2-1 lead after doubles with wins coming from #2 Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys as well as #3 Olivia Dolph and Melinda Workman. The Jackets clinched the victory with four singles wins which all came in straight sets. The points were earned by #1 Alisa Rutt, #3 Verwys, #5 Dolph, and #6 Georgiann McClure. [RESULTS]

Feb. 27, WILMINGTON (Springfield Racquet Club)
The Lady Jackets coasted to a 9-0 victory over Wilmington to open the 2007 schedule in a non-conference match played indoors at the Springfield Racquet Club. Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure were 8-2 winners at #1 doubles with Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys posting an 8-3 victory. Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph picked up another point by forfeit. Cedarville won the top five singles matches in straight sets. The winners were Rutt, McCully, Verwys, Workman, and Dolph. McClure was credited with the final point via forfeit. [RESULTS]
