Jared Griest is a four-year member of the Yellow Jacket pitching staff.....tied for the team lead with 14 appearances last spring, all in relief.....struck out 11 batters in 18.2 innings with a 7.71 earned run average.

2006 - Posted a 2-2 record in 13 relief appearances as a sophomore.....credited with victories against Trinity International and Northwestern (Iowa).

2005 - Made five appearances on the mound with one start as a freshman with the Yellow Jackets.....worked one inning of relief with a strikeout to get credit for the victory in a 7-6 decision in 10 innings at Bluffton.

High School - Four-year baseball letter winner at Mount Calvary Christian School.....named Team MVP and earned all-conference recognition.....member of 2002 Commonwealth Christian Athletic Conference championship squad.....picked up four letters in soccer with two Team MVP awards and was twice all-conference.....four-year letter winner in basketball with all-conference recognition.....played three seasons of golf and achieved two letters.....Senior Athlete of the Year.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean's List student as a business management major at Cedarville University.....born 2/28/86 in Harrisburg, PA.....son of Dennis and Marta Griest.....has one younger sister.
