Paul Wilson is back for his third and final season with the Yellow Jackets and is recognized as the team's best player.....started all 38 games in which he played at shortstop and batted third in the order in every contest.....voted to the American Mideast Conference South Division Second Team.....earned All-NCCAA Midwest Region recognition.....batted a team-high .393 and sports a .364 career average at CU.....also paced the squad in hits (44), runs (24), extra base hits (13), doubles (9), triples (3), RBI's (18), and stolen bases (21).....struck out just six times in 132 plate appearances.....racked up 17 multi-hit games and drove in two or more runs five times.....had three hits with three RBI's versus Grace.....assembled an eight-game hitting streak which included five two-hit games.....scored at least two runs in a game seven times.
2006 - Batted a team-high .342 in his first season at Cedarville while leading the club in games played (45), games started (45), hits (50), runs (32), total bases (69), slugging percentage (.473), and assists (121).....started every game at shortstop.....registered 11 multi-hit games including four-hit performances against Berea and Ohio Dominican.....had a trio of three-hit contests.....knocked in two or more runs in a game four times and put together a season-high 10-game hitting streak.....voted to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team.....American Mideast Conference South Division honorable mention.
2005 - Played his freshman season at NCAA Division I St. Bonaventure.....made nine pitching appearances for the Bonnies, all in relief.....played two games in the field with one at bat.
High School - Played four years of baseball with three letters at Allegany-Limestone High School.....named to the all-state second team.....Expressway Conference MVP.....Cattaraugus County Player of the Year.....All-Western New York First Team selection.....posted a .450 batting average.
Personal - Carries an exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 3/31/86 in Allegany, NY.....son of Michael and Maureen Wilson.....older brother, Eric, who was a four-year player at St. Bonaventure and an All-Atlantic 10 First Team shortstop, is an assistant coach at CU.....also has a younger sister.
