April 24-25, at AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship
Trevor Bowman became Cedarville's first three-time all-conference golfer, but the Yellow Jackets placed 5th of 10 teams at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship. NAIA No. 14 Malone easily won its fifth straight title with a 54-hole total of 873 while runner-up Ohio Dominican was 19 shots back at 892. Cedarville had rounds of 308-306-304 for a 918 total. Bowman tied for 5th place individually at 225 following rounds of 76-72-77 on the par-72 Apple Valley Golf Course layout. The top 10 finishers and ties make the All-AMC Team. Dan Atkeson tied for 17th place in the 50-player field at 77-75-78 for a 230 total. Nick Bigler tied for 24th at 78-79-76-233. April 14-15, at NAIA Classic
Trevor Bowman was medalist for the second straight tournament and the Yellow Jackets placed 6th in the prestigious NAIA Classic. Seven of the 14 schools are presently ranked in the NAIA Top 25 while four others are receiving votes. Bowman fired scores of 73-75 for a four-over par total of 148 on the demanding Brickyard Crossing layout which actually includes four holes on the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His effort was good enough for a one-shot victory over four other players. Matt Krogstad joined Bowman on the all-tournament team at 79-72-151 which tied for 9th place. His even-par final 18 holes equaled the third-best round on day two. Other CU scores included Dan Atkeson (78-81-159), Trent Roach (85-77-162), and Brendan Ojala (80-82-162). The Yellow Jackets had rounds of 310-305 for a 615 total. NAIA #6 Berry and #7 Lindenwood tied for first at 606. The rest of the top five included NAIA #12 Texas Wesleyan (607), #16 Malone (611), and Indiana Wesleyan (614). Ranked teams trailing Cedarville were #13 Saint Ambrose, #15 Davenport, and #17 Shorter. April 11-12, at Mount Vernon Nazarene Classic
Tournament medalist Trevor Bowman carded rounds of 71-70 and Cedarville slipped past NAIA No. 16 Malone by one shot to win the Mount Vernon Nazarene Classic. It was the second victory in a row for the Yellow Jackets after winning their own invitational. Cedarville finished with team scores of 299-300 for a 599 total at the Apple Valley Golf Club which will host the NAIA Region IX Championship on April 24-25. Defending region champion Malone had rounds of 292-308-600 while Ohio Dominican was third in the eight-team field at 299-308-607. Bowman's three-under par 141 was the second-lowest 36-hole score in school history. His final round 70 matched the second-lowest 18-hole score that he has shot at CU. Trent Roach tied for 9th place with a pair of 76's for a 152 total and Dan Atkeson tied for 12th at 78-75-153. Matt Krogstad shot 74-82-156 and Brendan Ojala had 91-79-160. March 31-April 1, 27th Annual CEDARVILLE INVITATIONAL
The Yellow Jackets won their own tournament for the second straight year with a two-shot victory in the 27th Annual Cedarville Invitational. After winning the intial event in 1982 and then going 25 years without claiming the title again until last spring, CU was able to repeat after rallying from four shots down with the low team score at Country Club of the North. The Yellow Jackets followed a 301 at the Beavercreek Golf Club with a 309 at CCN for a 310 total. First-round leader Mount Vernon Nazarene was second at 297-316-613 and Ohio Dominican was third in the nine-team field at 299-315-614. Trevor Bowman had the low final round with a one-over par 73. Coupled with a 77 during the first 18 holes, his 150 total tied teammate Matt Krogstad, who turned in a pair of 75's. They tied for second place overall and were both named to the five-player all-tournament team. Trent Roach (74-82-156) and Brendan Ojala (77-79-156) tied for 11th place. March 27-28, at Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate
Trevor Bowman tied for the low round of the day and earned all-tournament honors while leading the Yellow Jackets to a tie for 8th place at the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate. A total of 22 teams competed in the 36-hole event at the Crooked Creek Golf Club hosted by the University of the Cumberlands. Bowman's 72 was one of three even-par scores turned in during the second round. Coupled with his opening-round 79, the 151 total placed him in a tie for 8th individually which was good enough for the all-tournament team. Brenda Ojala totaled 82-80-162 which tied for 46th. Other Cedarville scores were Trent Roach (82-81-163), Dan Atkeson (85-79-164), and Matt Krogstad (78-89-167). As a team, the Jackets shot 321-312-633 to tie Southern Wesleyan for 8th place. March 17-18, at Campbellsville Invitational
Trevor Bowman carded rounds of 74-73 as Cedarville opened the spring portion of the 2007-08 men's golf schedule with a fourth-place finish at the Campbellsville Invitational. Bowman toured the Old Silo Golf Club in three-over par 147 to finish fifth and was three shots out of medalist honors. He was named to the all-tournament team. Other scores for the Yellow Jackets were Dan Atkeson, 76-78-154; Trent Roach, 75-79-154; Matt Krogstad, 83-76-159; and Brendan Ojala, 83-78-161. Brett Bigler, 95-88-183, played as an individual. Cedarville shot 308-305-613 for the 36 holes. Host Campbellsville won the team championship with rounds of 295-294-589.

Oct. 8-9, at NCCAA Nationals
The Yellow Jackets put together back-to-back 305 scores and tied for 5th place at the NCCAA National Tournament. Cedarville's 610 total was 13 strokes shy of champion Southeastern, who finished at 597. Dan Atkeson turned in rounds of 75-77 for a 152 total which tied for 14th place and was three strokes out of All-America honors (top 10 finishers). Trevor Bowman tied for 23rd place at 76-78-154. Other CU scores included Matt Krogstad, 80-75-155; Trent Roach, 74-81-155; and Brendan Ojala, 85-75-160. The Yellow Jackets tied Southern Wesleyan for the 5th spot out of 18 schools. Sept. 28-29, at Huntington Invitational
Matt Krogstad nipped five other golfers by one shot to win the Huntington Invitational at the Brookwood Golf Club. He carded rounds of 71-76 for a 147 total. Trevor Bowman was in the quintet one shot behind with rounds of 75-73-148. Other CU players to score were Dan Atkeson, 71-78-149; Trent Roach, 78-82-160; and Brendan Ojala, 74-78-162. Playing as individuals were Nick Bigler, 78-82-160; Matthew Yeiter, 80-83-163; and Brett Bigler, 81-84-165. Saint Francis (Ind.) won the four-team event with scores of 297-300-597. The Yellow Jackets were runner-up at 295-305-600 and were followed by Huntington (303-299-302) and Saint Francis "B" (329-329-658).

Sept. 14, at Urbana Invitational
Trevor Bowman placed 3rd overall to lead Cedarville to a runner-up showing at the Urbana Invitational which was played at the par-71 Woodland Golf Club. Owens Community College won the 27-hole event with a 446 total. The Yellow Jackets were 10 shots back at 456 and the host Blue Knights had 462. Bowman carded a 75 on the opening 18 holes and a 36 on the closing nine. His 111 total was just one shot out of medalist honors. Dan Atkeson tied for 7th place with rounds of 78-36 for a 114. Freshman Trent Roach placed 15th (78-40-118), Matt Krogstad tied for 19th (82-38-120), and Brendan Ojala tied for 22nd (75-46-121). Three Yellow Jackets were entered as individuals. Brett Bigler shot 79-40-119, Nick Bigler was at 82-40-122, and Matt Yeiter had 83-45-128.

Sept. 7-8, at Tiffin Invitational
Trevor Bowman fired one of the best rounds in school history and finished in a tie for 4th place at the Tiffin Invitational at the par-72 Mohawk Country Club. The Yellow Jackets opened the 2007-08 golf season with a 6th-place showing in the nine-team field. Bowman sandwiched a four-under par 68 in between a pair of 75's for a 218 total which was three shots out of medalist honors. The 68 matches the second-lowest round in school history turned in by Scott Aker at Tiffin in 2006. Aker holds the school 18-hole record of five-under par 67. Matt Krogstad tied for 23rd with rounds of 78-77-76 for a 231 total. Other CU scores were posted by Dan Atkeson (81-73-71-235), Brenda Ojala (80-80-81-241), and Brett Bigler (81-81-85-247). Trent Roach played as an individual with rounds of 76-79-80-235. Davenport won the event by 18 shots with an 873 total compared to runner-up Malone's 891.
