Ben Michaud has already established himself as the top shot put performer in school history.....NAIA All-American in the event both indoors and outdoors as the national runner-up in each event.....unloaded a school-record mark of 58-feet 5.25-inches at the NAIA Outdoor Championship and set the indoor school record of 57-7 at the NAIA Indoor Championship.....American Mideast Conference champion at 55-5.50 and was the NCCAA outdoor champion with a heave of 54-9.50.....NCCAA indoor runner-up at 53-2.25.....also an NCCAA Indoor All-American in the weight throw with a runner-up and career-best performance of 51-feet even.....had a career-best throw in the hammer at 155-8 to finish 5th at the AMC Championship.

2006 - NCCAA outdoor champion in the shot put as a freshman with a season-best heave of 53-4.25.....NCCAA indoor runner-up in the event (51-2.50).....set the school indoor record with a toss of 52-7.50 at the NAIA Championship and narrowly missed All-America honors by finishing 7th.....placed 8th at the NAIA Outdoor Championship (51-8.50).....best effort in the indoor weight throw was 45-9.....also participated outdoors in the hammer (138-6) and discus (117-1).

High School - Three-time Maine state champion in the shot put at Cheverus High School.....two-time winner outdoors with one indoor title.....three-year track & field letter winner.....holds the school record in the shot put.....all-conference performer as a junior and senior.....participated in three seasons of football with one letter.....earned all-academic honors in football and track as a senior.

Personal - Carries a public administration major at Cedarville University.....born 1/28/87 in Philadelphia, PA.....son of Steven and Christine Michaud.....has two younger brothers.
