Libby Short returns for her third campaign with the Lady Jacket volleyball program as one of the team's most steady defensive players.....one of three players to appear in all 55 matches in 2006.....led the team in digs with 735 and digs per game with a 3.97 mark..... tied for team-high serving percentage honors at .958.....registered a fourth-best 50 service aces.....tallied a season-high 31 digs against Spring Arbor at the NCCAA Midwest Regional.....recorded double figures in digs in 42 other matches.....her 43 matches with double figure digs rates third-highest in a single season in NAIA history.....ranks 10th all-time at CU with 1,568 career digs.....named to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team .....All-AMC South Division honorable mention.
2005 - Appeared in all 51 matches and all 174 games as a freshman.....led the team in digs with 833 which was the second-highest ever in a single season at CU.....also led in digs per game (4.79).....paced the team in service aces with 42.....posted a fourth-best .944 serving percentage.....totalled a season-high 44 digs versus Doane at the NAIA National Tournament.....recorded double figures in digs in 39 other matches.....named to the AMC South Division Freshmen Team.
High School - Produced an outstanding two-sport career at Springfield Shawnee High School....four-year letter winner in volleyball.....high school squad captured four consecutive Central Buckeye Conference titles.....two-time sectional champions and district runner-ups in 2001 and 2004.....named the Springfield News-Sun Co-Area Player of the Year.....voted to the All-Ohio Division III Third Team.....member of the All-District First Team.....earned District 9 All-Star honors.....County and Area Player of the Year.....registered 234 kills, 125 total blocks and 211 digs during senior campaign.....three-year letterwinner in track & field.....team garnered three consecutive CBC titles in 2001, 2002 and 2003.....recorded district championships in 2002 and 2004.....named All-County and All-Area First Team in hurdles in 2004.....National Honor Society Vice-President.
