Sarah Zeltman returns for her final season with the Lady Jacket volleyball program.....rates as one of the most prolific front row players in CU volleyball history.....needs 622 kills this season to become the career leader at Cedarville.....appeared in 53 matches and 177 games.....led team in kills (797), kills per game (4.50), solo blocks (109), total blocks (200) and service aces (79).....pounded a career-high 28 kills against Urbana.....produced double figures in kills in 48 other matches.....recorded season-high nine blocks against Tiffin and Urbana..... became just the third Lady Jacket to reach 2,000 career kills when she hit for 18 kills versus Hope International at the NCCAA National Tournament.....ranks second all-time at CU in solo blocks (245), third in blocks per game (1.03), fourth in service aces (162) and total blocks (536), and fifth in block assists (291).....named to the NAIA All-America Second Team.....CU's only two-time NAIA All-American.....selected the NAIA Region IX and American Mideast Conference South Division Player of the Year.....two-time NAIA National Player of the Week.....tabbed an NCCAA All-America First Team performer.....member of the NCCAA National All-Tournament Team.....voted the NCCAA National Tournament MVP.....named tournament MVP at Madonna and Cumberland (Tenn.).
2005 - Second on the team in kills (554), kills per game (3.53), attack percentage (.345), solo blocks (49), block assists (88) and total blocks (137).....pounded a season-high 24 kills in a win against Mount Vernon Nazarene.....produced double figures in kills in 33 other matches.....recorded a career-high 11 blocks in the NAIA Region IX championship match versus Mount Vernon Nazarene.....became the 14th Lady Jacket to reach 1,000 career kills with 14 kills against Olivet Nazarene.....named to the All-NAIA Region IX First Team and the AMC South Division First Team.....earned NCCAA All-America First Team honors.
2004 - Produced the most successful rookie season in CU volleyball history.....appeared in all 54 matches and all 188 games.....led the team in kills (841), service aces (73), serving percentage (.963), solo blocks (87), block assists (112), total blocks (199) and passing percentage (.862).....her 841 kills set a new school record for most kills in a single season.....attack percentage of .905 in a match against Benedictine set another school record.....also set four other school records in 2004 - most service aces in a match (13), most serving attempts in a season (996), most serving attempts in a match (44), and most total blocks in a season (199).....pounded a season-high 29 kills versus Madonna at the NAIA National Tournament.....produced double figures in kills in 47 other matches....named to the NAIA All-America Third Team.....voted the NAIA Region IX Player of the Year and the AMC South Division Player of the Year.....tabbed the AMC South Division Freshman of the Year....member of the NAIA National All-Tournament Team, the All-AMC South Division First Team and the NCCAA National All-Tournament Team.
High School - Registered a successful three-year volleyball career at Kidron Central Christian High School.....led team to the OHSAA Division IV semifinals her senior season.....team finishd with a 26-2 record and finished fifth in the final OHSVCA state poll.....holds career school records for kills (675), attack percentage (.388), kills per game (3.92), solo blocks (119) and block assists (103).....holds single season school records for kills (320), attack percentage (.416), kills per game (5.52), solo blocks (48) and block assists (50).....ranks second all-time at KCCHS with 1,419 attack attempts and 172 games played.....stands third all-time with service aces (90) and serve receive percentage (.919).....fourth all time with 302 digs.....high school team registered an overall record of 72-9 during the last three campaigns.....volleyball squad captured sectional titles in 2001, 2002 and 2003.....two-time district champions in 2002 and 2003.....regional champs in 2003.....two-time All-Ohio Division IV First Team performer.....two-time member of the All-District IV First Team and two-time District IV Player of the Year.....participated in the 2003 State of Ohio All-Star match and the District IV All-Star match.....graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA.....earned the Potential Leadership Award.....former high school teammate Rachel Thompson is also a member of the Lady Jacket volleyball squad.
