Julie Utz again joins the Lady Jackets after a successful season with the junior varsity squad this winter.....helped team to an 8-4 campaign.

2006-07 - Led CU junior varsity squad to a 10-1 final record before being added to the varsity roster in January.....appeared in five varsity contests averaging two minutes of action per game.

High School - Produced a three-sport career at Mars Area High School.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....team captured two section titles and playoff berths each of the four years.....WPIAL AAA championship runner-up in 2004-05.....named to the all-county second team as a senior.....selected to the Cager Classic and Western PA Roundball Classic All-Star games.....earned team's Hustle Award.....led team in assists both sophomore and senior campaigns.....finished career with 415 assists..... chosen Most Valuable Woman Athlete at Mars High School in 2006.....four-year letter winner in track and field.....member of the 2006 state-qualifying 4 x 400 meter relay squad.....two-year letter winner in soccer.....earned Most Improved and Best Defensive Player honors.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean's List student at Cedarville University as a middle childhood education major.....born 7/22/87 in Mars, PA.....daughter of Bob and Connie Utz....older brother, Cory, played basketball at Westminster College (Pa.).....also has two other older brothers.
