Callan Athletic Center

Callan Athletic Center

One of the finest small college athletic facilities in the midwest, Cedarville University's spacious Callan Athletic Center is the home of the Yellow Jackets. The building was renamed in February, 2003 in honor of former longtime athletic director and men's basketball coach, Don Callan.

The A.C., which seats 3,500 fans for basketball, is in its 26th year. The Lady Jackets enter the 2007-08 campaign with 230 victories in the building which includes a 64-4 mark over the past five seasons.

The Athletic Center floor was renovated in the summer of 1999 and includes an all-wood surface throughout the complex with a parquet-style layout on the main basketball court. The building features three full-length basketball courts, five volleyball courts, and badminton courts. Three racquetball courts, a climbing wall, and weight training and athletic training facilities are located in the adjacent Fitness and Recreation Center which attaches the A.C. to the Doden Field House.

The Athletic Center was the site of the 1985 and 1986 National Christian College Athletic Association national women's basketball tournament as well as the 2004 and 2006 American Mideast Conference Championship Games. The building has also been the host site for NCCAA National Tournaments in wrestling and women's volleyball, the 2004 NAIA Region IX Volleyball Championship, and the 2005 AMC Volleyball Tournament.
