Melinda Workman begins her final year with the Lady Jackets as one of three seniors on the roster.....finished with a 9-10 mark in the #4 singles position last season.....produced an important three-set singles win (4-6, 6-4, 6-3) against NCAA Division II North Greenville in the semifinals of the NCCAA National Tournament.....holds a 34-24 career singles mark at Cedarville to rank 12th in all-time singles wins.....combined with Olivia Dolph for an 11-6 record at #3 doubles in 2007.....the two have an outstanding all-time mark of 31-8.....named an NAIA, NCCAA and AMC Scholar-Athlete.
2006 - Posted a record of 13-7 at the #4 singles slot....combined with Olivia Dolph at #3 doubles for a 20-2 mark.
2005 - Produced a 12-7 record for CU in the #5 singles position.....paired up with Courtney Ruffin for a 14-6 performance in #3 doubles.....the duo came up with the only doubles win (8-2) for Cedarville in a 5-4 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic in the NCCAA National Tournament semifinals.
High School - Recorded an excellent career at Milton-Union High School.....three-year letter winner.....state tournament competitor in doubles as a senior.....voted team's Most Valuable Player.....named a Southwestern Buckeye League Scholar-Athlete in 2004.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean's List student as a media communications major at Cedarville University.....born 7/18/86 in Dayton, OH.....daughter of Randy and Betty Workman.....has two older sisters, an older brother, and a younger brother.
