May 9, at Spring Arbor (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
The Yellow Jackets managed only singles from Mark Wood and Dustin Crider while ending the season with an 11-0 loss at Spring Arbor. The Cougars hammered out 13 hits as Cedarville was shutout for the fourth time. [BOXSCORE]

May 8, Lincoln Christian (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Cedarville scored six times in the first inning and ran off to a 13-4 romp over Lincoln Christian. Seven players had at least two hits led by Ryan Creeden who was 3-for-4 with three runs batted. Gabe Schlappi, Micah Hutchins, Josh Lunney, Mark Wood, Nathan Verwys, and Greg Pauling had two hits each. Hutchins and Lunney scored three runs apiece. Johnny Freese pitched a complete game and struck out seven in picking up the victory. [BOXSCORE]

May 7, Concordia (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
The Yellow Jackets opened play at the NCCAA Midwest Regional with a 9-2 setback to Concordia. Josh Lunney, Ryan Creeden, and Nathan Verwys provided all of Cedarville's offense with two hits each. [BOXSCORE]

April 28, BLUFFTON
Bluffton outhit the Yellow Jackets 21-7 en route to a non-conference doubleheader sweep, 7-1 and 15-2. The Beavers broke a 1-1 tie in the first game with three-run frames in the fourth and sixth innings. Josh Lunney was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the hosts. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In game two, Bluffton led 3-2 after one inning and then blew the contest open with a six-run second. Cedarville mustered only three hits and committed six errors. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 25, OHIO DOMINICAN
Ohio Dominican swept a Mid-Ohio Conference doubleheader from the Yellow Jackets, 9-1 and 12-2. Two four-run innings aided the Panthers in the opener. Senior captain Mark Wood was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the seventh for Cedarville's lone tally. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Game two was halted after five innings due to the ten-run rule. Nathan Verwys tripled for one of the Jackets six hits. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 23, at Wilmington
Wilmington unloaded 17 hits against four Cedarville pitchers en route to a 12-4 non-conference win. Josh Lunney was 2-for-2 at the plate for the Yellow Jackets with a double, triple, and an RBI. Gabe Schlappi was 2-for-4 with a double. [BOXSCORE]

April 21, at Shawnee State
Shawnee State hammered the Yellow Jackets, 10-1 and 20-2, in a Mid-Ohio Conference doubleheader. Josh Lunney hit a solo homer in the opener while Gabe Schlappi was 3-for-4 at the plate. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In the second game, Cedarville scored twice in the first inning, but the Bears plated 11 runs in their first at bat to begin the rout. SSU unloaded four home runs in the game which saw the Yellow Jackets muster only two hits. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 18, at Malone
Josh Lunney socked a pair of solo home runs as the Jackets beat Malone, 6-5, in the first game of a Mid-Ohio Conference doubleheader. The senior co-captain was 3-for-4 with three runs scored while the other senior co-captain, Mark Wood, was 2-for-2 with two runs scored to go along with a save on the mound. Matt Johnson was the winning pitcher. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In game two, Malone broke a scoreless tie with five runs in the third inning en route to a 7-1 victory. Cedarville managed only four hits in the game. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 14, WALSH
The Yellow Jackets ended a 16-game losing streak by defeating Walsh, 6-5, in the second game of their Mid-Ohio Conference doubleheader. In the opener, the Cavs took advantage of six Cedarville errors and scored four unearned runs en route to a 10-7 win. Micah Hutchins was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI's while Gabe Schlappi went 3-for-4. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Jackets rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win game two. Mark Wood hit a solo homer to get the home team's scoring underway. Trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning with two out and nobody on, Cedarville scored four times to take the lead for good. Trevor Creeden was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Gabe Schlappi was 2-for-3. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 11, URBANA
Urbana swept a Mid-Ohio Conference doubleheader from the Yellow Jackets, 8-0 and 4-2 in nine innings. Cedarville did not get a hit in the opener and only two of their runners reached base -- both by virtue of walks. One of those was erased on a double play. The Blue Knights did not break the game open until they sent 12 batters to the plate in the sixth inning and scored six runs. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In game two, the Jackets took a 2-0 lead in to the top of the seventh inning and retired the first Urbana hitter. However ,the visitors strung together three straight hits to tie the game and then won it with a two-out, two-run double in the ninth. Rob Beat, Josh Lunney, and Ryan Creeden had two hits each for the Jackets. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 7, at Rio Grande
The Yellow Jackets suffered a heartbreaking Mid-Ohio Conference doubleheader sweep at the hands of host Rio Grande by scores of 6-3 and 3-2. The Redmen broke a 3-3 tie in the first game with a three-run sixth inning. Micah Hutchins was 2-for-4 at the plate for Cedarville. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Jackets absorbed their toughest loss of the season in the nightcap after they took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning. Rio manufactured a run after two were out, and then they got back-to-back run scoring singles in the bottom of the seventh inning after two were out to win it. Cedarville could only muster singles from Mark Wood and Nathan Verwys in the game. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 4, TIFFIN
Tiffin spoiled the Yellow Jackets home opener by claiming the Mid-Ohio Conference doubleheader by scores of 8-5 and 11-2. Cedarville led the opener 5-4 after three innings but gave up two runs in the fourth and two more in the sixth. Gabe Schlappi was 2-for-4 at the plate while Josh Lunney scored twice. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In game two, the Dragons plated four runs in their first at bat and never looked back. Schlappi and Lunney each had two hits for Cedarville. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

April 2, at Mt. Vernon Nazarene
Defending Mid-Ohio Conference champion Mt. Vernon Nazarene swept the Yellow Jackets, 6-1 and 8-0, in their league opener. Trevor Creeden singled in Rob Beat in the first game in what was Cedarville's only run of the day. The visitors could muster but two hits with Mark Wood also recording a single. The Cougars scored their runs on a trio of two-run homers. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In game two, the Yellow Jackets had seven hits but could not dent the plate. Micah Hutchins was 2-for-3 with a double while Mark Wood, Trevor Creeden, Nathan Verwys, Gabe Schlappi, and Dustin Crider all singled. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 27, at Wittenberg
A nine-run third inning propelled Wittenberg to a 19-3 romp over the Yellow Jackets in non-conference action. The Tigers hammered out 20 hits in the game, nine of which were for extra bases. Offensively, Cedarville managed just four singles in losing for the seventh straight time. BOXSCORE

March 25, at Marietta
Marietta, ranked No. 12 in NCAA Division III, buried the Yellow Jackets 25-2 in a non-conference game. Eleven of the Pioneers' 25 hits went for extra bases. Greg Pauling was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI for Cedarville. Josh Lunney was 2-for-4 with a double, Micah Hutchins socked a solo home run, and Mark Wood singled and scored. [BOXSCORE]

March 21, at Warner Southern
Warner Southern exploded for 31 hits, including seven home runs, in pounding out a 15-3 and 21-2 doubleheader sweep over Cedarville. Gabe Schlappi and Johnny Freese each doubled for the Yellow Jackets. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In the second game, Cedarville scored in the first inning on a two-run double by Nathan Verwys. Then, the Royals offense took off which included a barrage of six home runs. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 18, at Webber
Webber swept a doubleheader from Cedarville by scores of 8-0 and 14-7. In the first game, the Yellow Jackets were hitless until Mark Wood doubled with two outs in the seventh inning.[GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In game two, a six-run sixth inning propelled the hosts to the victory. The Jackets rapped out 11 hits as Josh Lunney went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Gabe Schlappi and Ryan Creeden had two hits each, Micah Hutchins doubled and scored two runs, and Greg Pauling added a two-run single. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

March 17, Rhode Island College (at Bartow, FL)
A Yellow Jacket rally fell short in a 4-3 loss to Rhode Island College during a non-conference game played in Bartow, Florida. After spotting the Anchormen a 4-0 lead, the Yellow Jackets scored three times in the bottom of the eighth inning. Mark Wood was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Micah Hutchins followed with a two-run single. Cedarville left those two runners on second and third, and then ended the game in the ninth with the tying run at third base. [BOXSCORE]

Mar. 14, at Tennessee Temple
The Yellow Jackets opened the season by splitting a doubleheader at Tennessee Temple. Cedarville claimed the nightcap, 6-3, after dropping the first game, 4-3. Ryan Creeden got the win on the mound in relief of game two while Matt Johnson notched the save. Josh Lunney was 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored, Micah Hutchins singled in two runs, and Mark Wood singled to drive in a run and also scored once.
