March 4, at Transylvania (NAIA Division I Great Lakes Sectional Quarterfinals)
Transylvania ended Cedarville's season with a 97-81 victory in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Division I Great Lakes Sectional. The Yellow Jackets, who led by as much as 11 points in the first half, held a 41-39 lead at halftime. But the Pioneers scored 12 straight points early in the second period to take a lead that they never relinquished. John Krueger and Ted Forrest each scored 25 points for Cedarville with Forrest's effort being a career-high. BOXSCORE

Feb. 28, RIO GRANDE
The Yellow Jackets held off Mid-Ohio Conference foe Rio Grande, 80-76, in the regular season finale before 2,981 fans in the Athletic Center. After surrendering the first basket of the game, Cedarville never trailed. Senior center Tim Ware turned a three-point play with 30 seconds left into a 78-73 Yellow Jacket advantage that secured the outcome. Jesse Deister had 20 points, John Krueger 18, Shay Richardson 14, and Ted Forrest 12. BOXSCORE

Feb. 24, at Wilberforce
John Krueger scored 27 of his game-high 37 points in the first half as the Yellow Jackets rolled to their third win over Wilberforce this season, 115-82. Cedarville blew out to a 57-37 halftime lead and then shot 58 percent from the field in period two to make it a rout. Shay Richardson pumped in 27 points, Tim Ware tallied 13, and Aaron Stumpf added 11. BOXSCORE

Feb. 21, at Tiffin
Tiffin University scored with two seconds left to pull out an 80-78 Mid-Ohio Conference victory over the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville freshman Jesse Deister was called for charging with 12 seconds left and the game tied to set up the Dragons' heroics. Deister, who fouled out on the controversial call, finished with 28 points. John Krueger tallied 21 points and Shay Richardson added 14. BOXSCORE

Feb. 19, URBANA
Cedarville bolted to a 20-point halftime lead and cruised to a 94-70 Mid-Ohio Conference victory over Urbana. The Jackets made 28 of 34 free throws and outrebounded the visitors 48-24. John Krueger scored 20 points, Tim Ware had 18, Shay Richardson 16, Aaron Stumpf 14 with a game-high 15 rebounds, and Jesse Deister added 12 points. BOXSCORE

Feb. 14, WALSH
John Krueger scored 30 points and Cedarville made 24 of their final 25 free throws to hold off Walsh, 106-102, in a Mid-Ohio Conference game played before 3,407 fans during Li'l Sibs Weekend. Aaron Stumpf came off the bench to make all 12 of his free throws en route to 23 points. Also in double figures were Jesse Deister with 18 points, Brent Miller 12, and Shay Richardson 10. BOXSCORE

Feb. 12, at Mt. Vernon Nazarene
Mt. Vernon Nazarene stayed on top of the Mid-Ohio Conference race with a 104-82 victory over the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville battled back from a 14-point deficit to lead 62-61 seven minutes into period two. Leading 65-64, MVNC erupted for 18 straight points to blow the game open. Rookie guard Jesse Deister netted 25 points for the Jackets. John Krueger scored 15 points, Shay Richardson had 14, and Aaron Stumpf chipped in 11.BOXSCORE

Feb. 7, at Ohio Dominican
John Krueger scored 25 points in helping the Yellow Jackets rally for an 84-72 Mid-Ohio Conference win at Ohio Dominican. Cedarville trailed 44-38 at halftime and 50-44 five minutes into period two before using an 11-point spurt to take the lead for good. Tim Ware had 13 points while Jesse Deister and Clint Hayes added 11 each. BOXSCORE

Feb. 5, SHAWNEE STATE
Shawnee State built a 17-point lead and then hung on to shock the Yellow Jackets, 90-86, in a Mid-Ohio Conference game. The Bears led 68-51 with 9:05 left, but Cedarville charged back to tie the game at 71-71 at the 4:35 mark. SSU then used a 10-3 spurt to put the game away. Aaron Stumpf came off the bench to score 26 points for the Jackets while Jesse Deister had 22 and John Krueger 14. BOXSCORE

Jan. 31, MALONE
John Krueger poured in 34 points to help Cedarville end a 16-game losing streak to Malone in a 106-79 romp over the Mid-Ohio Conference leaders. The Jackets had not beaten the Pioneers since January 13, 1987. Cedarville watched an 11-point halftime lead slip to 57-53 early in period two, but the home team used a 20-2 run over a four-minute span midway through the final frame to put the game away. Jesse Deister added 24 points, Shay Richardson had 17, and Clint Hayes chipped in 11. BOXSCORE

Jan. 29, at Michigan-Dearborn
John Krueger scored 24 points and Jesse Deister added 22 as the Yellow Jackets rolled to their third straight win, 92-76, at Michigan-Dearborn in a non-conference game. Cedarville bolted to a 14-0 lead, but UMD ralled to tie the score at 23-all. Aaron Stumpf, who finished with 17 points, buried three straight three-pointers and the visitors were on their way. Jan. 24, at Rio Grande
John Krueger's driving layup at the buzzer gave the Yellow Jackets a 70-68 Mid-Ohio Conference victory at Rio Grande. After the Redmen tied the game with a free throw with six seconds left, Krueger took the inbounds pass and drove the length of the floor for the gamewinner. Krueger netted 16 points for Cedarville, Aaron Stumpf had 15, and Jesse Deister added 13. BOXSCORE

Jan. 22, at Urbana
Cedarville scored the first 15 points of the second half and cruised to a 90-51 rout at Urbana in a Mid-Ohio Conference game. The Jackets held a 34-28 halftime lead, but scored 28 of the first 30 points of period two and 47 of the first 55. Jesse Deister netted 19 points, John Krueger 17, and Clint Hayes and Aaron Stumpf had 16 each. BOXSCORE

Jan. 17, at Walsh
Walsh sprinted to a 45-26 halftime lead, thanks to an 11-0 start, in handing the Yellow Jackets their fourth setback in five games, 88-76. Cedarville trailed by as much as 23 points early in the second half, but got as close as 79-70 late in the game. Freshman guard Jesse Deister talled 31 points and was joined in double figures by Shay Richardson with 15 and John Krueger with 12 points. Walsh was ranked No. 2 in NAIA Division II. BOXSCORE

Mt. Vernon Nazarene broke open a tight game with an 18-6 spurt midway through the second half en route to a 90-83 Mid-Ohio Conference victory over the Yellow Jackets. John Krueger netted 23 points for Cedarville, Jesse Deister had 19, Aaron Stumpf 12, and Clint Hayes 10. BOXSCORE

Jan. 10, OHIO DOMINICAN
Freshman Jesse Deister notched career-highs of 32 points and 12 rebounds in a 94-63 rout over Ohio Dominican. The Jackets shot 71 percent in the second half and 62 percent for the game. John Krueger tallied 17 points while Aaron Stumpf added 15 points and 10 rebounds. BOXSCORE

Jan. 8, TIFFIN
Tiffin University used a pair of second-half spurts en route to a 98-92 Mid-Ohio Conference victory over Cedarville. The Yellow Jackets led 74-66 with 8:50 to play before the Dragons answered with a nine-point run to get back in it. The home team took their final lead, 83-82, with 4:10 to play, and TU responded with a 10-1 run to claim the win. John Krueger had 24 points for Cedarville and was joined in double figures by Jesse Deister (18), Shay Richardson (12), Clint Hayes (12), and Tim Ware (10). BOXSCORE

Jan. 2, at College of West Virginia
The College of West Virginia avenged an earlier 11-point loss at Cedarville by pinning a 100-88 defeat on the Yellow Jackets. The visitors led 60-50 early in the second half before the Cougars used an 11-point run to get back in it. CWV scored the game's final eight points in the last 60 seconds. Jesse Deister had 21 points for Cedarville while Shay Richardson added 20 and John Krueger netted 19. BOXSCORE

Dec. 20, WILFRID LAURIER
Cedarville broke open a tight game with 18 straight points midway through the second half en route to a 99-68 romp over Wilfrid Laurier of Ontario. John Krueger scored 26 points to lead five Yellow Jackets in double figures. Shay Richardson had 19 points, Jesse Deister and Tim Ware 13 each, and Clint Hayes chipped in 10. BOXSCORE

Dec. 17, at Shawnee State
Cedarville outscored host Shawnee State 49-31 in the second half en route to an 82-63 Mid-Ohio Conference victory. The Jackets shot 57 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes while holding the Bears to a 23-percent showing. Aaron Stumpf had 19 points while John Krueger netted 16. Shay Richardson and Clint Hayes tallied 11 points each and Tim Ware added 10. BOXSCORE

Dec. 15, INDIANA NORTHWEST
Indiana Northwest did not honor a signed contract for the game scheduled for the Athletic Center. The NAIA National Office ruled on January 28 that the Yellow Jackets would be awarded a forfeit victory in accordance with the NAIA Policy Handbook.

Dec. 13, at Malone
Malone College got a three-point basket with five seconds to go in a 68-65 victory over Cedarville in the Mid-Ohio Conference opener for both teams. John Krueger's three-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the rim. Jesse Deister tallied a game-high 24 points for the Yellow Jackets. Krueger had 14 points and Tim Ware added 10. Cedarville battled back from ten points down in the second half to lead 63-62 with 2:30 to play for their only advantage of the final frame. BOXSCORE

Dec. 9, WILBERFORCE
John Krueger scored 23 points and Aaron Stumpf totalled 20 points and 11 rebounds in a 99-83 victory over Wilberforce. The Jackets broke a 24-24 tie with 6:30 to play in the first half with a 21-4 run to take command. The Bulldogs got to within eight points late in the game. Jesse Deister had 13 points and Tim Ware added 12 for Cedarville, who remained unbeaten in nine home games. BOXSCORE

Dec. 4, FINDLAY
Aaron Stumpf scored a career-high 27 points and put the Yellow Jackets ahead to stay with a driving layup with 22 seconds left in an 83-80 upset of Findlay. The Oilers were ranked No. 10 in NAIA Division I. Stumpf was fouled on the play and missed the free throw, but UF lost the ball out of bounds. John Krueger added two free throws at the 16-second mark to account for the final after the Oilers missed a late three-pointer. Krueger finished with 23 points and Jesse Deister added 16. BOXSCORE

Nov. 29, COLLEGE of WEST VIRGINIA (Second Annual Cedarville Thanksgiving Classic)
Tournament MVP John Krueger scored 36 points to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 105-94 victory against the College of West Virginia in the final game of the Cedarville Thanksgiving Classic. The 6-foot-4 junior's three-pointer at the halftime buzzer gave the Jackets a 52-48 lead which they built to as much as 14 in the second period. The Cougars got as close as five points with 2:45 to play. Jesse Deister netted 22 points and Shay Richardson totalled 10 points and 11 rebounds as both joined Krueger on the All-Tournament Team. Aaron Stumpf added 13 points for Cedarville, who had a commanding 59-32 rebounding edge. BOXSCORE

Nov. 28, INDIANA EAST (Second Annual Cedarville Thanksgiving Classic)
Cedarville raced to an Athletic Center scoring record in a 134-67 wipeout of Indiana East in the opening round of the Thanksgiving Classic. The Jackets blew out to a 36-5 lead en route to a 71-29 bulge at halftime and never looked back. John Krueger paced seven Cedarville players in double figures with 23 points, Aaron Stump had 20, and Jesse Deister added 18. BOXSCORE

Nov. 25, at Ashland
Ashland raced to a 20-point halftime lead and coasted to a 99-86 victory over Cedarville for the Yellow Jackets first loss of the year. The Eagles built the spread to as much as 61-35 with 17:30 left, but the visitors closed the gap to 11 late in the game. Jesse Deister, John Krueger, and Clint Hayes scored 20 points each for the Jackets. BOXSCORE

Nov. 22, WILBERFORCE (20th Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Tournament MVP John Krueger exploded for a career-high 41 points to pace the Yellow Jackets to a 120-100 shootout victory against Wilberforce in the final game of the Cedarville Invitational. The home team took a five-point halftime lead and extended it to as much as 27 points in the final period. Shay Richardson was named to the all-tournament team after scoring 17 points, Kyle Mraz netted 13, and Tim Ware chipped in 10. Krueger became the 12th player in school history, and the first in six years, to surpass 40 points in a single game. BOXSCORE

Nov. 21, MULTNOMAH BIBLE (20th Annual Cedarville Invitational)
John Krueger paced six Cedarville players in double figures with 24 points in a 107-88 victory against Multnomah Bible College of Oregon. The Jackets overcame a 12-point first-half deficit to lead 50-46 at halftime before pulling away in the second period. Jesse Deister and Shay Richardson tallied 21 points each, Aaron Stumpf had 12, Kyle Mraz 11, and Tim Ware 10. The Ambassadors are coached by former Jacket standout Chris Reese, who is Cedarville's eighth all-time leading scorer with 1,782 points. BOXSCORE

Nov. 11, MICHIGAN-DEARBORN
Cedarville scored the final six points of the game to beat Michigan-Dearborn, 94-88, in a non-conference contest. Shay Richardson's two free throws with 50 seconds left broke an 88-88 tie. Kyle Mraz hit two more freebies at the 23-second mark and then added a layup in the final seconds. Rookie forward Jesse Deister tallied 23 points to lead the way while Aaron Stumpf had 17, Richardson 16, Mraz and John Krueger 11 each, and Clint Hayes 10. BOXSCORE
