The Yellow Jackets ended their by losing a non-conference doubleheader at Asbury by scores of 10-1 and 10-5. Tim Sastic opened the first game with a home run for Cedarville's lone tally. Sastic went 3-for-3 and the Jackets had nine hits total, but stranded nine runners on base. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Cedarville held a 3-2 lead in the nightcap before surrendering eight unanswered runs. April 30, at Earlham
Earlham took advantage of nine Cedarville errors to post a 10-8 non-conference victory. The Jackets let a 6-3 lead split away while surrendering six unearned runs in the game. April 26, RIO GRANDE
Trevor Creeden and Micah Hutchins had three hits each to lead Cedarville to an 8-6 victory over Rio Grande and a split of their American Mideast Conference baseball twinbill. The Redmen won the first game, 7-3. In the opener, Rio took command with a four-run fourth inning. Bryan Mangin drove in all three Yellow Jacket runs with a single and a two-run homer. American Mideast Conference leader Ohio Dominican pounded the Yellow Jackets 12-0 and 17-1. The Jackets managed only a first-inning single from Bryan Mangin in the opener. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Panthers erupted for 12 runs in the fourth inning to blow the second game open. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]
April 20, TIFFIN
Tiffin swept a pair of AMC games from the Yellow Jackets, 11-7 and 8-2. Nathan Verwys and Micah Hutchins each had a hit and two runs scored in the opener. April 19, at Saint Vincent
Cedarville ended a season-opening 24-game baseball losing streak with a 9-6 victory at Saint Vincent in the second game of an American Mideast Conference doubleheader. The Bearcats won the opener, 2-0. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] The Yellow Jackets trailed 4-3 through five innings before plating six runs in the sixth for their biggest inning of the season. The big blow was a two-run double by Micah Hutchins. Bryan Mangin recorded a complete-game victory on the mound for Cedarville. April 13, SHAWNEE STATE
Shawnee State kept the Yellow Jackets winless by sweeping an American Mideast Conference doubleheader, 10-0 and 10-3, at Municipal Stadium. The league-leading Bears rapped out ten hits in the opener and seven went for extra bases. The game was halted after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Cedarville got eight hits in the second game including three from Aaron Statler and two from Graig Bantle. Six of SSU's ten hits were for extra bases. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]
April 10, at Geneva
The Yellow Jackets came up empty in their bid for their first victory of the season in an American Mideast Conference doubleheader at Geneva as the hosts won, 10-0 and 4-0. The Jackets had seven hits in the opener, but they hit into one double play and stranded five baserunners. The game was halted in the sixth inning by the 10-run mercy rule. April 8, WILMINGTON
Cedarville remained winless following a 5-3 loss to Wilmington in a non-conference night game played at Springfield's Municipal Stadium. The Jackets scored once in the first inning, but the Quakers took the lead for good with two unearned runs in the third. Trailing 5-1 entering the bottom of the ninth inning, the hosts scored twice and had the go ahead run at the plate when the game ended. Micah Hutchins, Trevor Creeden, and Nathan Verwys had two hits each for Cedarville. The Jackets had a season-high ten hits for the game. [GAME BOXSCORE]
April 6, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Four-time defending conference champion Mount Vernon Nazarene ripped Cedarville by identical 11-0 scores in American Mideast Conference action. Both games were halted after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. Cedarville had singles from four separate players in the opener while the Cougars banged out 14 hits including five for extra bases. April 3, WALSH
Walsh swept an American Mideast Conference doubleheader from host Cedarville, 5-0 and 14-2. The Jackets scraped up only four singles in the opener while being shutout for the fifth time of the season. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] They managed only five hits in the nightcap while Walsh exploded for 12 runs in the third inning to take command. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]
April 2, at Urbana
Urbana took a pair of American Mideast Conference games from the Yellow Jackets by scores of 7-0 and 4-1. The Blue Knights scored all seven of their runs in the opener in the fourth inning. Micah Hutchins went 2-for-3 at the plate. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Cedarville came up with only five hits and an unearned run in game two. Hutchins again was 2-for-3. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]
March 30, at Capital
Capital roughed up three Cedarville pitchers for 18 hits in a 14-4 non-conference baseball victory. All 14 Crusader runs were earned and they scored in seven of their eight at bats. Dana Gerber and Phil Hamilton had two hits each for the Yellow Jackets. [GAME BOXSCORE]
March 27, at Malone
The Jackets opened American Mideast Conference action by dropping both games of a doubleheader at Malone, 6-5 and 10-1. Cedarville had a 2-0 lead in the first game before the hosts came back. Tim Sastic had two of the Yellow Jackets' six hits. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] In the nightcap, Cedarville went hitless until Sastic doubled in the sixth inning and he later scored on Bryan Mangin's single. Cedarville remained winless in nine games following a 14-2 loss at Wilmington in non-conference action. The host Quakers hammered out 18 hits and used a seven-run seventh inning to blow the contest open. Bryan Mangin had two hits with a double for the Yellow Jackets. [GAME BOXSCORE]
March 23, WITTENBERG
The Yellow Jackets played their first home game in Springfield while construction on their new home field progresses, but they were belted by Wittenberg 11-0 in a non-conference game. Scott VanDerAa's double and a Nathan Verwys triple were the only hits for Cedarville. The Tigers scored their runs on 10 hits, yet struck out 12 times against Yellow Jacket pitching. [GAME BOXSCORE]
March 20, at Warner Southern
Warner Southern romped to 12-0 and 11-1 victories in a doubleheader that completed the Yellow Jackets' spring break swing through Florida. Cedarville mustered only three singles in the opener and the host Royals used a seven-run fourth inning to blow the game open. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] WSC got another big fourth inning in the second game with a six-run outburst. The Jackets got on the board first in the third inning when Dana Gerber scored on Bryan Mangin's sacrifice fly. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

Webber Cedarville by scores of 9-5 and 10-0. Micah Hutchins was 3-for-4 with a triple in the opener while Phil Hamilton had two RBI. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Graig Bantle had two hits in the second game and Hutchins doubled. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]

Cedarville opened its season with 5-4 and 9-3 losses to Carroll College of Wisconsin. The Jackets scored all of their runs in the fourth inning of the opener for a 4-3 lead but they couldn't hang on.
