March 20, Trinity International (NCCAA Nationals)
Trinity International recovered from a 16-point first-half deficit and outgunned Cedarville, 107-104, in the NCCAA consolation game. The Yellow Jackets took immediate control of the first half and sprinted to a 59-43 lead. But TIU drained a trey at the buzzer and trailed 61-50 at halftime. The Trojans never trailed again after taking over the advantage with 12:10 left even though the game was tied twice in the final 2:30. Cedarville, which drilled 16-of-26 three-pointers for the game, got off two bombs in the final 15 seconds of the contest, but could not connect. John Krueger pumped in 30 points and closed his career second on the Yellow Jackets' all-time scoring list with 2,366 points. Jason Marshall netted all 17 of his points in the first half and was joined in double figures by Aaron Stumpf with 16, Ted Forrest 14, and Shay Richardson 12. [BOXSCORE]

March 19, at Oakland City (NCCAA Nationals)
Host, No. 1 seed, and eventual champion Oakland City pulled away in the second half for a 94-74 romp over Cedarville in the NCCAA semifinals. It was the 14th straight home victory for the Oaks. Ironically, it was the Yellow Jackets who bolted to an 11-0 lead before the game was two minutes old. But OCU rebounded to lead 44-39 at halftime and then took command by scoring the first nine points of the second half. Cedarville never got closer than 13 points the rest of the way. John Krueger finished with 24 points for the Yellow Jackets. Robb Burt came off the bench to score 15 points, including four three-pointers, in only eight minutes of action and Jesse Deister chipped in 10 points. [BOXSCORE]

March 18, Christian Heritage (NCCAA Nationals)
John Krueger scored 21 points, including four free throws in the final 15 seconds, to lead Cedarville to an 81-78 victory over two-time defending champion Christian Heritage in the first round of the NCCAA Nationals. The Yellow Jackets, seeded No. 4, trailed 43-37 at halftime, but opened up the second period with nine straight points. Jesse Deister's three-pointer with 11:55 to go gave Cedarville its largest lead at 59-52. However, CHC held a 78-75 advanatge before the Jackets scored the final six points of the game. Aaron Stumpf made a layup with 1:09 left prior to Krueger's free throws. Stumpf finished with 18 points, Ted Forrest had 13, Jason Marshall 11, and Deister 10. March 6, WILBERFORCE (AMC/NAIA Division I Semifinals)
Wilberforce hung on for an 80-79 victory over Cedarville in an American Mideast Conference/NAIA Division I men's basketball semifinal in the Athletic Center. The Yellow Jackets had the ball out of bounds with 12 seconds left to go, but failed to get off a shot in turning it over with 1.5 ticks remaining. Jesse Deister finished with 23 points, Ted Forrest had 15, John Krueger 14, and Jason Marshall 13. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 27, at Rio Grande
American Mideast Conference champion Rio Grande handed Cedarville its worst defeat of the season, 96-76. The Jackets had buried the Redmen, 87-65, in the Athletic Center on Feb. 2. Cedarville came out flat and shot a paltry 37.7 percent from the field. Jesse Deister finished with 26 points and John Krueger added 18. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 23, at Geneva
John Krueger scored 27 points and moved into second place on the all-time scoring list at Cedarville as the Yellow Jackets downed Geneva College, 86-81 in an American Mideast Conference game. The 6-4 senior has 2,285 points which takes him past Ken Rucker (2,281). Eric Mounts is the all-time leader with 2,648 points. The Yellow Jackets started slow and trailed 33-21 with five minutes left in the first half. Krueger keyed a surge which brought the teams even at 35-35 heading into the intermission. The visitors led by as much as 10 points in the second half and then held the Golden Tornadoes off from the free throw line by making 15 of 17 in the second half and 19 of 22 for the game. Jesse Deister tallied 18 points and seven assists, Ted Forrest scored 16 points, Aaron Stumpf added 13, and Clint Hayes chipped in 10. Feb. 20, OHIO DOMINICAN
John Krueger pumped in a game-high 24 points in his final regular season home game as Cedarville pounded Ohio Dominican, 105-61, in an American Mideast Conference game. Aaron Stumpf scored 14 points, Ted Forrest had 12, and Jesse Deister tallied 11. The hosts shot 69 percent in the first half and 59 percent for the game in winning for the eighth time in the last nine games. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 18, at Urbana
John Krueger scored 16 points, including two free throws with 14 seconds left, to help Cedarville hold off Urbana, 71-68, in American Mideast Conference action. The Yellow Jackets scored the first 11 points of the game, led 29-14 midway through period one, yet trailed 36-34 at halftime. The visitors held Urbana scoreless for an eight-minute stretch of the second half, had a 10-point lead with four minutes to go, but found themselves tied at 67 with 1:00 to play. Ted Forrest hit two free throws with 54 seconds left, the Blue Knights made one-of-two free throws at the 27-second mark, and then Krueger added his final two points. Feb. 13, SAINT VINCENT
Aaron Stumpf scored a game-high 22 points as Cedarville buried Saint Vincent, 96-65, in an American Mideast Conference contest. The outcome avenged a 93-85 setback the Jackets suffered on SVC's homecourt in December. This time, Cedarville bolted to a 52-35 halftime spread and never looked back. Leading 63-44 with 15:50 to play, the Jackets blew it open with 18 straight points in a six-minute span for their largest lead of the game, 81-44. Feb. 9, SHAWNEE STATE
John Krueger scored 20 points to lead Cedarville to an easy 80-52 win over Shawnee State in an American Mideast Conference game. Krueger made 10 of 11 shots from the field for the Yellow Jackets. Shay Richardson was the only other player in double figures with 13 points. Fourteen Jackets played and 12 scored. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 6, WALSH
Walsh put Cedarville and its home court winning streak on ice with a 57-54 American Mideast Conference victory before 3,331 fans in the Athletic Center. The Jackets entered the game unbeaten in eight home games this season and they had 11 straight wins in the A.C. dating back to last year. Cedarville bolted to a 9-0 lead in the game's first three minutes and then the offense practically disappeared. Walsh led 23-17 at halftime and never trailed in the second half, though the game was tied twice in the first five minutes. Jesse Deister had 14 points for the Yellow Jackets while Clint Hayes and Ted Forrest added 11 each. Feb. 2, RIO GRANDE
John Krueger pumped in a game-high 28 points as Cedarville ripped league-leading Rio Grande, 87-65, in American Mideast Conference action which ended the Redmen's ten-game winning streak. Cedarville inched out to a 35-32 advantage at the intermission and then immediately took command in the second period. Leading 41-39 at the 17:00 mark, the Jackets exploded for 16 unanswered points in a four-minute span. Rio didn't get closer than 13 points the rest of the way. Jan. 30, at Ohio Dominican
Clint Hayes paced five Cedarville players in double figures with 21 points in a 76-60 victory at Ohio Dominican College in American Mideast Conference action. It was the third straight victory for the Yellow Jackets. Hayes' three-pointer with three seconds left in the first half took Cedarville into the locker room with a 35-22 lead. The Jackets kept the advantage in twin digits the entire second half and the bulge grew to as much as 21 points. Jan. 28, MICHIGAN-DEARBORN
Sophomore guard Jesse Deister pumped in 24 points as Cedarville overcame a sluggish first half for an 80-67 non-conference victory over Michigan-Dearborn. The score was tied 33-33 at halftime and the Jackets inched out to a 45-41 advantage with 13:25 to play. They took off on a 17-2 run for a 62-43 advantage at the 7:15 mark to blow the game open. Jan. 26, MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
Ted Forrest matched his career-high with 25 points and Cedarville rallied from 17 points down to upset Mount Vernon Nazarene, 83-81 in overtime, in American Mideast Conference action. The defending league champion Cougars came into the game ranked No. 1 in NAIA Division II. It was 60-43 with 12:45 left when the Jackets slowly started to recover. Aaron Stumpf's layup with 2:05 left tied it at 71-71. It stayed that way with both teams getting shots in the final seconds for the win. Forrest fed Jesse Deister for what would be the game winning layin for an 82-81 lead with 42 seconds to go in overtime. John Krueger added a free throw with three seconds remaining. Jan. 23, at Malone
Malone held off Cedarville 98-92 in an American Mideast Conference men's basketball game. The Pioneers made 31 of 34 free throws for the game including a 20-for-22 effort in the second half. The Yellow Jackets scored the first eight points of the game, yet eventually trailed at the half, 43-42. The two teams remained close in the second period until the final four minutes. Senior guard John Krueger scored 22 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds for Cedarville. He upped his career-point total to 2,115. Jan. 20, at St. Mary's
Jesse Deister scored 24 points to lead Cedarville to an 81-67 non-conference victory at St. Mary's. The outcome ended a five-game road losing streak for the Yellow Jackets. The visitors, who buried St. Mary's by 29 points in the final of the Cedarville Invitational two months earlier, struggled to pull away from the pesky Eagles. The 14-point final matched their largest lead of the game. Ted Forrest added 19 points, Aaron Stumpf scored 17 in his first start of the season, and Clint Hayes chipped in 11. Jan. 16, at Tiffin
Tiffin remained unbeaten in the American Mideast Conference with a 93-91 victory over Cedarville. The Dragons, ranked No. 10 in NAIA Division II, won it with a 17-foot jumper at the buzzer. All five Yellow Jacket starters scored in double figures led by Clint Hayes with a game-high 25 points. Jesse Deister had 18 points, Ted Forrest 15, John Krueger 13, and Shay Richardson 11. Jan. 14, URBANA
Aaron Stumpf scored 25 points and John Krueger added 24 as Cedarville escaped with a 92-89 American Mideast Conference victory against Urbana. The Jackets trailed 90-89 before Krueger's 12-foot jumper gave them the lead and Stumpf added two free throws with 6.9 seconds left. Krueger moved into third place on Cedarville's all-time scoring list with 2,075 points. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 12, GENEVA
John Krueger scored 25 points and Jesse Deister added 19 to lead the Yellow Jackets to their first American Mideast Conference victory, 94-83, over Geneva. Cedarville let a 17-point second-half lead melt away to a one-point deficit with 7:20 to play, but the hosts scored the next six points and never trailed again. Jan. 5, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Mount Vernon Nazarene, rated No. 1 in NAIA Division II, moved its record to 14-0 with an 82-69 victory over Cedarville. Ted Forrest totalled 18 points and 11 rebounds, Jesse Deister had 16 points, and Aaron Stumpf chipped in 14. John Krueger grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds. [BOXSCORE]

Dec. 16, at Saint Vincent
The Jackets dropped their American Mideast Conference opener at Saint Vincent, 93-85, despite a 37-point effort from John Krueger, who became just the fourth Cedarville player to reach 2,000 career points. Shay Richardson added 15 points and Aaron Stumpf chipped in 12. The host Bearcats drained 16 three-pointers including one with 1:25 to play which broke an 80-all tie. [BOXSCORE]

Dec. 12, at Findlay
Findlay, ranked No. 20 in NAIA Division I, hung on for an 81-74 win over No. 19 Cedarville. John Krueger had 20 points for the Yellow Jackets and was joined in double figures by Jesse Deister with 17, and Clint Hayes, Ted Forrest, and Aaron Stumpf with 10 each. Cedarville outrebounded UF 41-33 and outscored the hosts from the field, but they attempted 17 fewer free throws. [BOXSCORE]

Dec. 8, WILBERFORCE
Clint Hayes scored 21 points and Shay Richardson added 20 with a game-high 15 rebounds in a 103-87 win against Wilberforce. Also in twin figures were Ted Forrest with 16 points, Aaron Stumpf 15, John Krueger 14, and Jesse Deister 11. [BOXSCORE]

Dec. 1, at Wittenberg
Wittenberg outscored Cedarville 10-5 in the final two minutes and hung on for a 75-68 victory as the two teams played for the first time in seven years. John Krueger had 19 points for the Yellow Jackets while Jesse Deister added 16 and Ted Forrest had 14. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 28, Waterloo (Wilfrid Laurier Classic)
Cedarville rallied behind John Krueger's 28 points for a 71-66 win over Waterloo, ranked No. 9 in Canada. The Jackets overcame a 34-23 halftime deficit and netted the final six points of the game for the win. Jesse Deister added 10 points for Cedarville, who made 13-of-14 free throws as a team. Nov. 27, at Wilfrid Laurier (Wilfrid Laurier Classic)
Cedarville beat the Golden Hawks for the second time in a week, but on this occasion the 94-82 final score was much closer than the 41-point blowout in the Athletic Center. Jesse Deister and Clint Hayes had 18 points each to lead five Yellow Jackets in double figures. Ted Forrest had 17 points, Aaron Stumpf 16, and John Krueger 12. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 24, at Wilberforce
Wilberforce got the game winner with three seconds to go in overtime of an 86-84 win over Cedarville. The Yellow Jackets, who at one point in the first half reeled off 20 straight points, squandered a 20-point lead in the opening frame. Nov. 21, ST. MARY'S (21st Annual Cedarville Invitational)
The Yellow Jackets rolled out to a 31-point halftime lead and coasted to a 91-62 victory in the championship game. Robb Burt came off the bench to bury six three-pointers and score 22 points. Aaron Stumpf had 15 points and Jesse Deister chipped in 14. Clint Hayes was the tournament MVP and was joined on the all-tourney team by Stumpf and Ted Forrest. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 20, WILFRID LAURIER (21st Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Cedarville cruised past Wilfrid Laurier ONT 99-58 to open their own invitational. Fifteen Yellow Jackets played and 13 scored led by John Krueger with 18 points. Shay Richardson had 13 points while Ted Forrest and Clint Hayes added 11 each. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 17, at Michigan-Dearborn
Cedarville recovered from squandering a 16-point first-half lead to win 74-67 at Michigan-Dearborn. The Yellow Jackets had a 43-29 halftime advantage, but the Wolves needed only eight minutes into the second half to tie the game. The Jackets made their final ten free throws to secure the win.
