May 24-26, at NAIA Outdoor Championships
Eddie Nehus became the first Yellow Jacket male to garner NAIA All-America honors in the 800 meter run at the NAIA Nationals in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He placed sixth in the final in 1:50.62. The sophomore completed an incredible three-day showing in the event. After cruising in prelims, he burned up the track in the semifinals with a school-record time of 1:49.86. That mark was nearly three seconds faster than what was Cedarville's oldest school record which was set in 1973. In other events during the final day, Nate Freeman just missed repeating as an All-American in the high jump. He was seventh at 6-feet 8.75-inches. Dan Hudson was 10th in the discus with a heave of 151-9.

May 14, at Indiana Wesleyan Invitational
Eleven Yellow Jackets competed in the Indiana Wesleyan "Last Chance" Invitational. Jon McGinnis cleared 15-3 in the pole vault while Eddie Nehus (48.08) and David Dingeman (48.40) both turned in times under 49 seconds in the 400 meter dash. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

May 6-8, at NCCAA Nationals
The Yellow Jackets placed fourth out of 13 schools behind Taylor, Malone, and Mid-America Nazarene at the NCCAA Nationals. Cedarville took five events led by sophomore Eddie Nehus. He won the 800 meters in 1:53.81 and then anchored the victorious 4 x 400 meter relay squad that set a meet record in 3:16.03. Other members of the foursome were Cliff Reynolds, Nate Jenkins, and David Dingeman, who earlier won the 400 meter dash in 49.62 seconds. Also placing first for the Jackets were Nate Freeman in the high jump (6-8) and Jason Alexander in the pole vault (13-7.25). [COMPLETE NCCAA RESULTS]

May 1, at Rio Grande Invitational
One Cedarville school record was set at the Rio Grande Invitational which was a non-scoring meet. Dan Hudson extended the men's hammer throw record to 155-feet 10-inches. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

April 24, at Cincinnati Invitational
Eddie Nehus won the 800 meter run in 1:53.36 at the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Track & Field Classic. The sophomore won the race by more than two seconds, and his time was just 66/100 of a second off the school record of 1:52.70 which is jointly held by Ernie Welborn (1973) and Paul Beck (1976). The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Cliff Reynolds, Nate Jenkins, Eddie Nehus, and David Dingeman placed second in 3:17.0. April 17, AMERICAN MIDEAST CONFERENCE
Host Cedarville College placed second to Malone in the AMC Championships. The Yellow Jacket men took seven events led by Eddie Nehus, who won the 800 meters and was part of the winning 4 x 400 and 4 x 800 meter relay teams, and by Cliff Reynolds, who was also part of the winning relays and finished first in the 400 meter hurdles. Other victories came from Ben Thompson in the 10,000 meters, Nate Freeman in the high jump, and Dan Hudson in the discus. [SEE COMPLETE AMC MEN'S RESULTS]

April 10, at Miami Invitational
The Jackets placed fifth out of eight schools at the Miami Invitational which included six NCAA Division I opponents. Freshman David Dingeman won the 400 meter dash in 49.33 seconds. Eddie Nehus was a winner in the 800 meters in 1:55.80. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

April 1-2, at Northwest Ohio Classic
Dan Hudson and Shawn Graves both passed the school record in the hammer throw at the Northwest Ohio Classic hosted by Bowling Green State University. Hudson set a new mark at 153-feet 11-inches while Graves had a heave of 146-10. The Jackets top finish came from Matt Hadler in the 1,500 meters who placed fourth in 4:08.22. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

March 27, CEDARVILLE OPEN
Senior Nate Freeman qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Nationals in the high jump with his effort in the Cedarville College Open. He won the high jump by clearing 6-feet 10-inches. He posted the only Yellow Jacket first-place showing in either the men's or women's divisions. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

March 18-20, at Florida State Relays
The Yellow Jackets opened their outdoor season by completing their annual spring break trip at the Florida State Relays. The team's top performance came in the 800 meters where Eddie Nehus placed third in 1:53.3. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

Feb. 25-27, at NAIA Indoor Championships
Nate Freeman, who earned NAIA All-America honors outdoors last spring, achieved the same recognition indoors by tying for 6th place. He cleared 6-feet 8-inches. No other Yellow Jackets placed. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

Feb. 20, at Eastern Michigan Invitational
The Yellow Jackets took a partial team to Ypsilanti, MI. Nate Freeman placed second in the high jump (6-10.5) while teammate Andy Paugh was fourth (6-8.75). Jon McGinnis cleared 15-4 in the pole vault. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

Feb. 13, at Denison Big Red Invitational
Eddie Nehus won the 800 and 1,500 meters and his time of 1:54.48 in the 800 improved upon his NAIA qualifying mark. Matt Hadler also qualified in the event with a second-place time of 1:55.37. He has qualified for the NAIA Nationals in the 800; 1,500; and 3,000 meters. Jon McGinnis qualified in the pole vault with a winning effort of 15-feet 2-inches. Andy Paugh qualified in the high jump placing second at 6-8, and Cliff Reynolds was a winner in the 400 meters (50.26). At the Findlay Invitational on Friday, Shawn Graves qualified in the 35-pound weight throw by placing second at 51-4.5. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

Feb. 6, at Ohio Northern Indoor Midwest Elite
Cedarville won six events, had a new school record set, and added another NAIA qualifier at the Midwest Elite meet. Nate Freeman won the high jump with a school-record leap of 6-feet 11-inches. He had already met the NAIA qualifying mark in the event. Matt Hadler, who qualified for the NAIA Nationals in the 1,000 meter run one week earlier, also qualified in the 1,500 with a winning time of 3:59.3. Other first-place finishes for the men were by Eddie Nehus in the 800 meters (1:56.34), Ben Thompson in the 5,000 (15:22.6), Dan Hudson in the 35-pound weight throw (49-6.25), and Jon McGinnis in the pole vault (14-5.25). Jan. 30, at Findlay Indoor Classic
Four Yellow Jackets qualified for the NAIA Indoor Nationals. Nate Freeman won the high jump by clearing 6-feet 10-inches while Eddie Nehus won the 800 meters in 1:54.87. The other two men to qualify were Matt Hadler, who turned in a time of 2:32.28 in the 1,000 meter run, and Cliff Reynolds, who posted a mark of 1:23.05 in the 600 meters. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

Jan. 23, at Denison Indoor
The Yellow Jackets picked up two victories at the Denison University "Lid-Lifter" indoor meet. Matt Hadler won the 1,500 meters in 4:00.2 and Jon McGinnis won the pole vault at 14-feet 6-inches. [CEDARVILLE RESULTS]

Jan. 15, at Ohio Northern Indoor
The Yellow Jackets opened the indoor season placing third at Ohio Northern behind the hosts and Grand Valley State in the eight-team field. Cedarville had first-place efforts from Eddie Nehus in the 800 meters (2:00.56), Matt Hadler in the 1,000 meters (2:39.0), Ben Thompson in the 5,000 (15:55), and Nehus, Hadler, Nate Jenkins, and Todd Hintz in the 4 x 400 (3:32.02).
