Nov. 21, at NAIA Nationals
The Yellow Jackets finished 23rd out of 34 teams at the NAIA Nationals. Ben Thompson covered the 8,000 meters in 26:21 to finish 77th out of 325 runners. Others to score for Cedarville were Ken Loescher (130th; 26:59), Eddie Nehus (142nd; 27:04), Jody Fox (147th; 27:06), and Justin Gerber (182nd; 27:30). [COMPLETE NAIA RESULTS]

Nov. 14, NCCAA Nationals
Cedarville placed fifth out of 19 teams in an NCCAA National field that featured four teams from the NAIA Top 10. Ben Thompson (9th; 25:07) finished in the Top 15 to grab All-America recognition. Other finishers for the Yellow Jackets were Eddie Nehus (27th; 26:10), Jody Fox (37th; 26:32), Steven Wakefield (38th; 26:38), and Ken Loescher (49th; 27:04). [COMPLETE NCCAA RESULTS]

Nov. 7, at American Mideast Conference Championship
The Yellow Jackets finished second to Malone at the first AMC Championship. Ben Thompson (2nd; 26:00) and Steven Wakefield (7th; 26:46) each earned All-AMC honors for placing in the top seven while Jody Fox (8th; 26:50) was honorable mention. Other Yellow Jackets to score were Ken Loescher (11th; 26:55) and Eddie Nehus (16th; 27:02). [COMPLETE AMC RESULTS]

Oct. 24, at Gettysburg Invitational
The Yellow Jackets were 6th of 36 schools in the Gettysburg Invitational as Haverford was the winner with 78 points. Ben Thompson was 8th in 25:52 for the 8K. He was joined by teammates Eddie Nehus (37th; 26:42), Ken Loescher (39th; 26:42), Steven Wakefield (54th; 26:56), and Jody Fox (65th; 27:02).

Oct. 16, at Wilmington Classic
Cedarville College rested three of their top seven runners to allow injuries to heal, but the Jackets totalled 48 points to nip Tiffin (53) in the 11-team Wilmington Classic. Ben Thompson won the race by covering the 8,000 meters in 26:10. Other Yellow Jacket finishers were Steven Wakefield (4th; 26:45), Eddie Nehus (6th; 27:00), Ken Loescher (9th; 27:13), and Scott Ruhlman (28th; 28:13). Jody Fox, Joel Peterson, and Dan Plaatje did not compete.

Oct. 9, at Ohio Intercollegiate Championship
The Yellow Jackets finished 18th out of 35 schools at the Ohio Intercollegiate Championship. Ben Thompson completed the 8,000 meters in 27:23 to finish 61st out of 245 competitors. Other Cedarville runnrs to score were Jody Fox (68th; 27:27), Steven Wakefield (100th; 27:58), Ken Loescher (148th; 28:34), and Joel Peterson (162nd; 28:41).

Oct. 3, at Rio Grande Invitational
Cedarville, ranked No. 18 in the NAIA, totalled 26 points to outrun the field at the Rio Grande Invitational. The host Redmen were second with 55 points and were followed by Glenville State (84), Capital (108), Kentucky Christian (149), Shawnee State (153), and Ohio Valley (154). Scoring for the Yellow Jackets were Joel Peterson (3rd; 26:06), Ben Thompson (4th; 26:22), Jody Fox (6th; 26:34), Steven Wakefield (8th; 26:37), and Eddie Nehus (10th; 27:14).

Sept. 26, FRIENDSHIP INVITATIONAL
Taylor IN, ranked No. 5 in the NAIA, won the Eighth Annual Friendship Invitational at John Bryan State Park with 38 points. Heidelberg was next in the 12-team field with 85 points and Cedarville was third with 98. Jody Fox was 7th of 149 competitors in 26:14 in the 8,000 meters. Others for the Yellow Jackets were Joel Peterson (14th; 26:41), Steven Wakefield (20th; 26:54), Ben Thompson (30th; 27:32), and Eddie Nehus (36th; 27:48). [COMPLETE MEN'S RESULTS]

Sept. 19, at Midwest Collegiate Championships
The Yellow Jackets placed 11th out of 36 schools at the Midwest Collegiate Championships which was run on the NAIA National Championship course in Kenosha, Wis. Cedarville totalled 354 points while champion Calvin MI had 60. Leading the Jackets was Joel Peterson who finished 45th out of 463 runners in 27:20 for the 8K. Others to score were Jody Fox (59th; 27:39), Steven Wakefield (94th; 28:17), Dan Plaatje (104th; 28:20), and Ben Thompson (124th; 28:34).

Sept. 5, at Asbury Invitational
NCAA Division I Morehead State scored 21 points to outrun Cedarville (38 points) in 93° heat at the Asbury Invitational. The rest of the seven-team field included Asbury (107), Pikeville (128), Kentucky Christian (132), Shawnee State (135), and Kentucky State (155). Steve Wakefield paced the Jackets by finishing 4th with a time of 28:24 for the 8K. Joel Peterson had the same time but was credited with a 5th-place showing. Others to score for Cedarville were Eddie Nehus (12th, 29:37), Dan Plaatje (14th, 29:43), and Scott Ruhlman (17th, 30:44).
