March 6, at Rio Grande (AMC/NAIA Division I Semifinals)
The third time was not the charm for Cedarville as they dropped a 75-71 decision at Rio Grande in the semifinals of the American Mideast Conference/NAIA Division I Tournament. The win for the Redwomen was the third this season over the Lady Jackets by a combined total of nine points. The 75-71 outcome was the identical score at Rio on Jan. 23. The Redwomen edged Cedarville, 78-77, in the Athletic Center on Feb. 2. Freshman forward Kirsten Rossotti had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Jackets, who completed their first winning season in four years. Amanda Porter and Heather French scored 14 points each. March 2, POINT PARK (AMC/NAIA Division I First Round)
Freshman forward Kirsten Rossotti scored 25 points and hauled in 14 rebounds to lead Cedarville to a 93-71 victory over Point Park in the opening round of the American Mideast Conference/NAIA Division I Tournament. The Jackets scored the first six points of the second half to open up a 54-33 lead. But the Pioneers stormed back to within 60-55 with 10:20 left. Cedarville answered with 15 straight points over the next five minutes to take command. Amanda Porter and Amy Martin each scored 16 points while Julie Nourse added 11. Cedarville outrebounded the visitors 43-29 and shot 53.3 percent from the field. [BOXSCORE]
Feb. 25, FINDLAY
Cedarville battled illness, fatigue, and one of their toughest opponents of the season in a 66-49 loss to Findlay in the regular season finale. It was the 12th straight win for the visiting Oilers, who are ranked No. 12 in NAIA Division I. The Lady Jackets returned to campus at 3:30 a.m. the previous day from a make-up American Mideast Conference game at Geneva (Pa.) and it showed. Cedarville trailed 10-0 to Findlay and did not score their first field goal until the 10:35 mark of the first half. However, they came within 27-24 by halftime. The Jackets took their only lead at 32-31 with 17:30 to play. Findlay outscored the hosts 20-7 over the next ten minutes and never trailed thereafter. Feb. 23, at Geneva
Freshman forward Kirsten Rossotti racked up 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead Cedarville to a 71-60 American Mideast Conference victory at Geneva College. The Lady Jackets sprinted to a 36-15 lead in the first half and had a 41-25 advantage at the break. Geneva got as close as eight points in the second period. Tara Swaney came off the bench to provide 12 points and Gillian Gombis chipped in 10. Cedarville outrebounded the Golden Tornadoes 47-40 and held the home team to 32 percent shooting from the field. Feb. 20, OHIO DOMINICAN
Julie Nourse had game-highs of 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead Cedarville to an 82-70 American Mideast Conference victory over Ohio Dominican. Even though the Lady Jackets took the lead for good with 10:30 left, they had to outscore ODC 13-2 in the final two minutes to get a cushion. Amanda Porter scored 16 points, Kirsten Rossotti had 12, and Charity Cole chipped in 10. [BOXSCORE]
Feb. 16, at Urbana
Urbana defeated Cedarville for the third time this season with a 78-63 decision in American Mideast Conference play. The Blue Knights, ranked No. 11 in NAIA Division II, used hot shooting to keep the Lady Jackets at bay. Urbana drained 7-of-10 three-point baskets en route to a 38-33 halftime lead. The Knights then shot 56.5 percent from the field and made 14-of-17 free throws in the decisive second half. Heather French scored 15 points for Cedarville and set a new school record for most three-pointers made in one season (47). Kirsten Rossotti had 13 points with a game-high 12 rebounds, and Julie Nourse added 12 points. [BOXSCORE]
Feb. 13, at Saint Vincent
Heather French and Amanda Porter scored 14 points each to pace Cedarville to a 70-61 victory at Saint Vincent in an American Mideast Conference game. The victory ended a four-game AMC losing streak for the Lady Jackets. Cedarville opened up a 34-24 halftime lead and held SVC at bay by making 10 of 12 free throws in the second half and shooting 47 percent from the field for the game. Feb. 9, SHAWNEE STATE
Shawnee State, ranked No. 1 in NAIA Division II, rolled to a 71-54 win over Cedarville in an American Mideast Conference game. Freshman forward Amy Martin came off the bench to supply career highs of 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Jackets. [BOXSCORE]
Feb. 6, WALSH
Walsh hung on for a 75-74 American Mideast Conference victory at Cedarville. Close games continue to frustrate the Lady Jackets as they dropped their third straight AMC game by a total of four points. Freshman forward Kirsten Rossotti totalled 23 points and 11 rebounds for Cedarville. Julie Nourse had 16 points and 12 boards, and Amanda Porter added 18 points. [BOXSCORE]
Feb. 4, at Wilberforce
Amanda Porter scored 18 points to pace four Lady Jackets in double figures in a 78-59 non-conference win at Wilberforce. Porter netted all of her points in the first half as Cedarville raced to a 42-24 halftime lead. Julie Nourse added 15 points, Kirsten Rossotti 14, and Heather French 13. [BOXSCORE]
Feb. 2, RIO GRANDE
Cedarville had a furious rally fall short in a 78-77 American Mideast Conference loss to Rio Grande. The Lady Jackets trailed 74-64 with 3:00 remaining and streaked back to within one with 15 seconds left. Rio missed two free throws giving Cedarville the ball, but the hosts could only get away an off balance 18-footer at the buzzer. Amanda Porter netted 20 points, Julie Nourse scored 17 points with a game-high 14 rebounds, and Kirsten Rossotti added 12 points. [BOXSCORE]
Jan. 30, at Ohio Dominican
Ohio Dominican scored the game winning basket with six seconds left in an 82-80 decision over Cedarville in an American Mideast Conference game. The Lady Jackets had battled back from a ten-point deficit midway through the second half to grab a 74-73 lead with four minutes left. They were unable to hang on in losing for the sixth time in the past eight games. Julie Nourse and Kirsten Rossotti each had 20 points and seven rebounds for Cedarville. Jan. 26, MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
Cedarville ended a five-game losing streak by oulasting Mount Vernon Nazarene, 81-79, in American Mideast Conference action. The Lady Jackets never trailed after taking a 6-4 lead three minutes into the game. It was 41-34 at halftime and the hosts grabbed their third ten-point advantage of the contest at 67-57 with 7:45 left. MVNC cut the margin to 73-72 at the 2:55 mark but the Jackets hung on as Amanda Porter's two three throws with ten seconds remaining sealed the win. Jan. 23, at Rio Grande
Cedarville suffered its fifth straight defeat in a 75-71 American Mideast Conference game at Rio Grande. The Lady Jackets shot just 28 percent from the field in the opening half and trailed 38-28 at halftime. They outscored the hosts 43-37 in period two, but they ran out of time against the Redwomen, who are ranked No. 15 in NAIA Division I. Jan. 19, at Shawnee State
Kirsten Rossotti continued her torrid play, but the Lady Jackets dropped their fourth straight game, 107-85, at Shawnee State in an American Mideast Conference game. The six-foot freshman forward poured in a career-high 34 points and grabbed 15 rebounds against the No. 1 ranked team in NAIA Division II. Amanda Porter tallied 17 points for Cedarville while Heather French had 14. Rossotti is averaging 25.8 points and 11.8 rebounds over her last four games. [BOXSCORE]
Jan. 16, TIFFIN
Tiffin erased a 10-point halftime deficit and defeated Cedarville, 83-72, in an American Mideast Conference game. It was the first double-digit loss of the season for the Lady Jackets. Cedarville scored the first 10 points of the game and went on to lead 38-28 at halftime. The Dragons outscored the hosts 55-34 in the second half and took advantage of the Jackets 30-percent shooting from the field over the final 20 minutes. Jan. 12, URBANA
Urbana scored the first four points in overtime and went on to defeat Cedarville, 83-78. The Jackets recovered from a 14-point deficit and had the ball at the end of regulation, but could not get off a good shot for the win. Jan. 5, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
The Lady Jackets' six-game winning streak came to a halt in a 76-71 loss at Mount Vernon Nazarene. Cedarville trailed by 12 points at halftime, but rallied to within three and even got off a three-pointer in the final ten seconds that would have tied the game. Kirsten Rossotti tallied 29 points and 16 rebounds, Heather French scored 16 points, and Amanda Porter added 14. [BOXSCORE]
Dec. 17, NOTRE DAME (Ohio)
The Lady Jackets exceeded last year's win total with their 10th victory in a 75-42 romp over Notre Dame College in an American Mideast Conference game. All 12 Cedarville players scored and had at least one rebound apiece in what was the squad's sixth consecutive win. Julie Nourse scored 14 points, Amy Martin totalled 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Amanda Porter added 10 points. [BOXSCORE]
Dec. 15, at Wilmington
The Lady Jackets matched their 1997-98 win total of nine victories with a 91-85 non-conference victory at Wilmington. Julie Nourse racked up game highs of 29 points, 20 of which came in the second half, and 11 rebounds. Amanda Porter had 19 points and Heather French chipped in 10. Dec. 12, at Malone
Amanda Porter pumped in 23 points to lead the Lady Jackets to an 84-79 win at Malone in their American Mideast Conference opener. Kathy Freese earned her 105th victory and became Cedarville's all-time winningest women's basketball coach. Dec. 8, WILBERFORCE
Kirsten Rossotti scored 21 points and hauled in 13 rebounds to lead the Lady Jackets to a 92-66 win over Wilberforce. The two teams were even at 42-42 early in the second half, but a 19-point run over a span of 6:30 blew the game open in favor of Cedarville. Five other players reached double figures for the Jackets including Julie Nourse with 17 points, Noel McKinnon 11, and Amanda Porter, Heather French, and Pattie Schryer with 10 each. [BOXSCORE]
Dec. 5, CENTRAL STATE (Cedarville Invitational)
Kirsten Rossotti had 21 points and 13 rebounds, and Julie Nourse scored 20 points to help the Lady Jackets rally from a 16-point deficit to beat Central State, 80-74, in the final of the Cedarville Invitational. Both players were named to the all-tournament team and Rossotti set a school record by making all 12 of her free throws. Amanda Porter had 18 points and Heather French chipped in 11 for the Jackets. Dec. 4, GEORGETOWN (Cedarville Invitational)
Kirsten Rossotti scored 22 points while Julie Nourse added 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Jackets to a 100-76 rout of Georgetown in the first round of the Cedarville Invitational. The Jackets sprinted to a 50-22 lead in the first half and never looked back. Amanda Porter had 12 points and Jennifer Jones supplied 10 more off the bench. [BOXSCORE]
Dec. 1, BLUFFTON
The Lady Jackets played their second home game, again an overtime encounter, but this time lost to Bluffton, 88-84. Gillian Gombis netted 16 points for Cedarville. Julie Nourse and Kirsten Rossotti flipped in 13 points each and Rossotti added a game-high 13 rebounds. [BOXSCORE]
Nov. 24, at Mount St. Joseph
Julie Nourse paced five Cedarville players in double figures with 16 points as the Lady Jackets crushed the College of Mount St. Joseph, 87-38. Charity Cole had 14 points, Amanda Porter 12, and Tara Swaney and Kirsten Rossotti 10 each. The Jackets led 44-21 at halftime and outrebounded the Lions, 46-21. [BOXSCORE]
Nov. 21, Urbana (Huntington Invitational
The Lady Jackets went scoreless for the final four minutes and lost to Urbana, 63-58, in the final of the Huntington Invitational. Julie Nourse scored 18 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Freshmen Pattie Schryer (12) and Kirsten Rossotti (10) also scored in double figures. [BOXSCORE]

The Lady Jackets opened the home schedule with an 84-76 overtime win against Taylor. Heather French sent the contest into the extra session with a three-pointer with ten seconds to play and the hosts made 7-of-8 free throws in the OT for the victory. Roberts Wesleyan hung on for a 74-73 win in the Yellow Jackets' season opener played at Baptist Bible College.
