Nov. 9, GRACE (NCCAA Midwest Regional - Semifinals)
Grace rallied from a two-goal deficit to end the Lady Jackets season, 3-2, in the NCCAA Midwest Regional semifinals. Allison Hume scored twice in the first 22 minutes to give Cedarville a 2-0 lead. Michelle Ruhlman assisted on both goals and Jenny Walker had an assist on the second one. The Lancers got within 2-1 by halftime and then found the net twice in the final 20 minutes including the gamewinner in the 81st minute. [BOXSCORE]
Nov. 6, at Tiffin (AMC Tournament - Semifinals)
Regular season champion Tiffin outscored the Lady Jackets, 4-1, in the AMC semifinals. The Dragons scored twice in the opening 14 minutes, but Allison Hume found the net in the 39th minute with an assist from Carrie Orme to cut the deficit to 2-1. It stayed that way until the 65th minute and TU added their final score with five minutes left. [BOXSCORE]
Nov. 3, at Malone (AMC Tournament - First Round)
Cedarville outlasted Malone in sudden death penalty kicks for a 3-2 victory in the first round of the American Mideast Conference Tournament. Geneva Roberts scored from Sundi Myers and Kristen DeVinney in the 14th minute, and Jenny Walker netted the tying goal in the 85th minute from Allison Hume. Walker also scored the deciding goal once the shootout reached sudden death. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 31, at Seton Hill
The Lady Jackets and Seton Hill battled to a 0-0 overtime tie in a non-conference match. The host Spirit, who join the American Mideast Conference in the fall of 1999, had 24 shots to Cedarville's 13. Katie Mummau played all 120 minutes in goal and made 12 saves. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 28, INDIANA WESLEYAN
Indiana Wesleyan, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA Great Lakes Region, outgunned the Lady Jackets 5-3. Michelle Ruhlman, Allison Hume, and Kristen DeVinney scored for Cedarville which lost for the first time in a regular season home match since the varsity program was started in 1997. The Jackets were 8-0-2 at home prior to the setback. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 24, GRACE
Allison Hume and Kristen DeVinney each scored two goals as the Lady Jackets outlasted Grace, 6-5, in a non-conference match. Jenny Walker had a goal and the other was an own goal that Grace inadvertently deflected into their own net. Hume got the gamewinner on an assist from Michelle Ruhlman with under a minute left. Oct. 21, at Tiffin
Tiffin remained unbeaten in the American Mideast Conference with a convincing 5-1 win over the Lady Jackets. The two teams were tied 1-1 at half with Cedarville's goal coming from Michelle Ruhlman on an assist from Allison Hume. The Dragons erupted for four unanswered goals in period two to blow the match open. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 17, GENEVA
Michelle Ruhlman tallied a goal and an assist in a 2-0 victory over Geneva in an American Mideast Conference match played on Homecoming Saturday. Kristen DeVinney got the first goal with Ruhlman assisting, who then netted her goal from Jennifer Walker and Carrie Orme. Katie Mummau made six saves to notch the shutout in goal. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 13, at Malone
Cedarville failed to score for the second straight time in a 3-0 American Mideast Conference setback at Malone. Each team had 10 shots, but the Pioneers found the net in the 39th, 48th, and 83rd minutes. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 10, at Saint Vincent
Saint Vincent ended the Lady Jackets six-match unbeaten streak with a 1-0 American Mideast Conference victory. The Bearcats scored in the 74th minute and then held on, despite being outshot 14-9 for the match. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 8, OTTERBEIN
Freshman midfielder Michelle Ruhlman figured in on three goals in a 5:37 span late in the match to rally the Lady Jackets to a 4-2 non-conference match over Otterbein. The Jackets trailed 2-1 until Ruhlman netted the equalizer in the 80th minute. She got the gamewinner three minutes later, and then she helped set up Allison Hume for the fourth goal with 4:30 left. Carrie Orme got the game's first goal for Cedarville, who ran their unbeaten streak to six straight. [BOXSCORE]
Oct. 6, NOTRE DAME (Ohio)
Allison Hume scored two goals, including the gamewinner 4:45 into overtime, for a 3-2 victory against Notre Dame College in an American Mideast Conference match. Stephanie Aittama and Hume scored in the 8th and 9th minutes for a quick 2-0 lead. NDC scored in the 10th and 77th minutes to tie the match. The Jackets had a 26-2 shot advantage for the game. Oct. 3, WALSH
The Jackets slopped their way through the rain to a 2-2 tie with Walsh University in their first-ever American Mideast Conference match. The Cavaliers scored in the 10th minute, then misplayed the ball into their own net to tie the score. Freshman Michelle Ruhlman gave the Jackets a brief lead with an assist from Kristen DeVinney. Walsh tied the match in the 30th minute and the two teams went scoreless through the final 60 minutes of regulation and 30 minutes of overtime. [BOXSCORE]
Sept. 26, MARIAN
Lisa Hockenberry scored three times as the Lady Jackets won their third straight game with a 6-0 romp over Marian (Ind.). Geneva Roberts, Sundi Myers, and Allison Hume also found the net with Hume, Kristen DeVinney, and Jennifer Walker picking up assists. Katie Mummau and Siobhan Fagan combined for the shutout in goal. Sept. 22, at Wittenberg
Cedarville rallied from a 3-1 halftime deficit for a 4-3 non-conference win at Wittenberg. Sundi Myers found the net just two minutes into the match, but the Tigers answered with three straight goals before the intermission. The Jackets bounced back with two goals from Allison Hume, including the gamewinner with 28 minutes left, sandwiched around another score from Jennifer Walker to get the victory. Kristen DeVinney had two assists with others coming from Myers and Michelle Ruhlman. [BOXSCORE]
Sept. 19, TAYLOR
Cedarville won its home opener, 3-0, over Taylor which was also John McGillivray's first win as head coach of the women's program. Sundi Myers scored unassisted and Lisa Hockenberry found the net from Kristen DeVinney in the first half. Allison Hume scored early in period two and Katie Mummau made 13 saves in goal for the match. McGillivray is in his first season coaching the women's team after posting 215 wins in 24 years at the helm of the men's squad. [BOXSCORE]
Sept. 16, at Denison
Denison scored all three of its goals in the first half of a 3-0 non-conference win over Cedarville. The Big Red unloaded 22 shots at Lady Jacket keeper Katie Mummau, who stopped 19, while limiting the vistors to just three shots. [BOXSCORE]
Sept. 12, at Muskingum
Muskingum scored 25 minutes into sudden death overtime to secure a 3-2 victory. Allison Hume netted the Jackets first goal of the season on an assist from Amy Nyhuis. Michelle Ruhlman later scored on a penalty kick. [BOXSCORE]
Sept. 10, at Georgetown
Georgetown overwhelmed the Lady Jackets 6-0 in the season opener. The Tigers got the first goal in the 23rd minute, lead 2-0 at the half, and outshot Cedarville 20-10 for the game. [BOXSCORE]
