Nov. 21, at NAIA Nationals
Cedarville placed 15th out of 36 schools at the NAIA National Championships where they were also presented the Scholar-Team Award for the second straight year for having the highest combined grade point average (3.72) among all competing teams. Becky Jordan finished 77th of 344 runners in 19:17 for the 5,000 meters. Other Lady Jacket finishers were Jill Breckenfeld (98th; 19:31), Christy Taylor (104th; 19:34), Sarah Pollock (127th; 19:50), and Kelly Reitz (130th; 19:52). [COMPLETE NAIA RESULTS]
Nov. 14, NCCAA Nationals
Becky Jordan (12th; 18:52) was named an All-American (Top 15) for the fourth straight year as the Yellow Jackets finished 3rd out of 17 schools at the NCCAA Nationals. Other Cedarville finishers were Christy Taylor (17th; 19:05), Jill Breckenfeld (18th; 19:07), Kelly Reitz (28th; 19:37), and Jori Forward (32nd; 19:46). [COMPLETE NCCAA RESULTS]
Nov. 7, at American Mideast Conference Championship
The Yellow Jackets placed second out of nine teams in the AMC meet with Becky Jordan (7th; 19:11) taking a spot on the All-AMC Team (Top 7). Christy Taylor (9th; 19:22) was honorable mention and was joined in the scoring column with teammates Jill Breckenfeld (12th; 19:30), Jori Forward (18th; 20:04), and Kelly Reitz (19th; 20:07). Oct. 24, at Gettysburg Invitational
Cedarville finished in a tie for 8th of 32 teams at the Gettysburg Invitational with 216 points. Indiana (Pa.) won the meet with 124. Becky Jordan covered the 5K in 18:29 to place 17th. Other Lady Jacket runners were Jill Breckenfeld (31st; 18:55), Christy Taylor (40th; 19:07), Kelly Reitz (49th; 19:15), and Jori Forward (88th; 19:47).
Oct. 16, at Wilmington Classic
The Lady Jackets scored 22 points to easily outdistance Centre College of Kentucky (58) in the seven-team Wilmington Classic. Christy Taylor won the race in 19:13 for the 5K. She was helped by Becky Jordan (2nd; 19:22), Jill Breckenfeld (4th; 19:45), Jori Forward (6th; 19:55), and Kelly Reitz (9th; 20:06).
Oct. 9, at Ohio Intercollegiate Championship
At about the same time the Lady Jackets were moving up to 12th in the latest NAIA national rankings, they finished 13th out of 39 schools at the Ohio Intercollegiate Championships. Christy Taylor was the first Cedarville runner to complete the 5,000 meters by placing 38th out of 268 runners in 19:35. Other Lady Jackets were Becky Jordan (50th; 19:48), Jill Breckenfeld (79th; 20:09), Jori Forward (117th; 20:34), and Kelly Reitz (122nd; 20:37).
Oct. 3, at Rio Grande Invitational
The Lady Jackets won the team title behind three-time NAIA All-American Becky Jordan who copped the individual crown in 18:49 for the 5,000 meters. Cedarville, ranked No. 15 in the NAIA, had 27 points and was followed by host and No. 7 ranked Rio Grande (35), Capital (94), Seton Hill (109), and Glenville State (120). Others to score for the Jackets were Christy Taylor (3rd; 19:12), Jill Breckenfeld (6th; 19:44), Jori Forward (8th; 19:49), and Sarah Pollock (9th; 19:49).
Sept. 26, FRIENDSHIP INVITATIONAL
Kenyon OH nipped host Cedarville to win the Eighth Annual Friendship Invitational. The Ladies had 54 points while the Jackets recorded 60 in the 12-team event. Becky Jordan placed 2nd out of 139 runners in 18:57 for the 5K. She was joined by Christy Taylor (7th; 19:14), Jill Breckenfeld (11th; 19:33), Jori Forward (21st; 20:04), and Kelly Reitz (30th; 20:21). [COMPLETE WOMEN'S RESULTS]
Sept. 19, at Midwest Collegiate Championship
The Lady Jackets totalled 433 to place 14th of 38 schools at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Kenosha, Wis. which was staged on the NAIA National Championship course. Calvin MI won the event with 85 points. Becky Jordan led the way for Cedarville by finishing 66th out of 392 runners with a time of 19:45 for the 5K. Others for the Jackets included Jill Breckenfeld (68th; 19:45), Christy Taylor (76th; 19:52), Kelly Reitz (135th; 20:35), and Jori Forward (144th; 20:40).
Sept. 5, at Asbury Invitational
NCAA Division I Morehead State copped the top five spots for 15 points to win the Asbury Invitational in 93° temperatures. Cedarville had 44 points and was followed by Asbury (95), Clinch Valley (117), and Shawnee State (128). Scoring for the Lady Jackets in the 5K were Jill Breckenfeld (6th, 20:43), Christy Taylor (7th, 20:48), Becky Jordan (8th, 21:11), Jori Forward (13th, 22:14), and Wendy Somers (14th, 22:34).
