March 2, at Geneva (AMC/NAIA Division I Tournament)
Geneva sprinted to a large lead and then hung on to defeat Cedarville, 97-83, in the first round of the American Mideast Conference/NAIA Division I Tournament. The outcome ends the Yellow Jackets season at 11-21 overall. The Golden Tornadoes, who won all three meetings with Cedarville this season, used a 13-point run en route to a 34-11 lead with nine minutes left in the first half. But the Jackets closed the halftime difference to 52-40 and got as close as 66-61 midway through the second half. Geneva used a 17-2 spurt to regain command. Jason Marshall buried six three pointers and scored a career-high 25 points with nine assists for Cedarville. Clint Hayes netted 17 points, Ted Forrest racked up 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Keith Minier chipped in 11 points. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 26, RIO GRANDE
Rio Grande scored the final 11 points of the game to post an 82-72 victory over Cedarville in an American Mideast Conference game played before an Alumni Weekend crowd of 2,950. The Yellow Jackets stretched a 43–40 halftime lead to 54-43 early in the second half. The Redmen rallied to make it close and then Cedarville went scoreless over the final 4:45 of the game after Keith Minier's layup gave the hosts a 72-71 lead. Feb. 22, at Ohio Valley
Ohio Valley rallied in the final ten minutes and hung on for an 81-79 upset win over Cedarville in a non-conference game. The Yellow Jackets had a chance at the end. Trailing 81-77, David Dingeman was intentionally fouled with 2.7 seconds to go. He hit both free throws and Cedarville had the ball out of bounds on the baseline underneath their own basket. They brought the ball inside to Ted Forrest who was stripped of the ball before getting a shot off. The Jackets had 10-point leads on seven occasions throughout the contest the last of which was 66-56 midway through the second period. However, the Pioneers closed the game with a 25-13 run. Clint Hayes matched his career-high of eight three-point baskets in one game and finished with 28 points while Forrest added 18. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 19, at Saint Vincent
Cedarville threw a scare into American Mideast Conference leader Saint Vincent before falling, 87-84, in double overtime. The Jackets fell behind 16-4 in the opening seven minutes, yet quickly came back to make the contest close the rest of the way. SVC appeared to have the game won in regulation time when they got a three-point play with 3.5 seconds left for a 70-67 lead. The Jackets got the miracle they needed when Curt Fleck recovered a long pass that was deflected to the hash mark and buried a 30-footer at the buzzer. Cedarville had the ball in the final 30 seconds of the first overtime with the score tied and again in the final minute of the second OT trailing by one, but failed to get a shot off either time. Down 87-84, the visitors did get the ball back with 13 seconds to go but missed a pair of potential game-tying treys. Clint Hayes scored 19 points for the Yellow Jackets, Ted Forrest had 18, Fleck 17, and Keith Minier 16. It was the 15th straight win for Saint Vincent. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 15, WILBERFORCE
Clint Hayes scored 19 points and Cedarville rallied from 22 points down to defeat Wilberforce 94-87 in overtime. The victory gave the Yellow Jackets a sweep of the two-game season series between the American Mideast Conference and Greene County rivals located just four miles apart. Wilberforce bolted to three 22-point leads late in the first half the last of which was 47-25 at the 4:10 mark. But Cedarville scored the last 12 points of the frame to close within 47-37 at the break and then opened the second half with a 14-3 spurt for a 51-50 lead with 14:45 to play. The lead changed hands eight times down the stretch with the Jackets appearing to have the game in hand with a 79-72 advantage with 1:20 to go. The Bulldogs then scored the final seven points to force the extra session. Hayes put Cedarville ahead to stay, 88-86, on a three-point play with 1:35 left in OT. Keith Minier hit five-of-six free throws in the final 52 seconds including his last four to clinch the win. Minier provided 18 points off the bench, Jason Marshall hit five treys and netted 16 points, and Ted Forrest finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds prior to fouling out late in regulation. Feb. 12, OHIO DOMINICAN
Ohio Dominican overcame a 12-point first-half deficit for a 75-71 victory at Cedarville in American Mideast Conference action. The game was played before a season-high Li'l Sibs Weekend crowd of 3,106. Cedarville had the ball with 1:55 left in the first half and a 44-32 lead. But the Panthers scored the final nine points of the half and the first four of the second period to get back in it. ODC took the lead for good with 17:35 to play. Clint Hayes had 15 points for Cedarville. Ted Forrest added 14 points, Curt Fleck had 13, and David Dingeman 12. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 10, at Michigan-Dearborn
One of the greatest comebacks in Cedarville basketball history was short-circuited in an 80-78 loss at Michigan-Dearborn. The host Wolves, who scored the game winner with two seconds to play, took advantage of a controversial Yellow Jacket turnover and an early final buzzer to grab the victory. Cedarville had the ball with 41 seconds to play with the score tied at 78-78. A Yellow Jacket pass was tipped out of bounds with 18 seconds left, yet was awarded to UMD. After the Wolves netted the go ahead basket, Cedarville was in the process of running a full court out-of-bounds play when the final buzzer inadvertently went off. That forced them to attempt the play again which came up empty. The Jackets trailed 53-36 at halftime and found themselves in a 22-point hole with 18 minutes left. But a 20-1 run got them back in the game and they even had a 73-72 lead with 3:45 to play. Ted Forrest finished with 15 points and nine rebounds. Feb. 8, URBANA
Curt Fleck provided 19 points and a career-high 15 rebounds off the bench to lead Cedarville to a 94-78 American Mideast Conference victory over Urbana. The Yellow Jackets ran off 18 straight points early in the game for a 23-5 lead. It was a 50-28 difference at halftime and the bulge swelled to 88-57 at the 5:35 mark. Feb. 5, at Geneva
Geneva pulled away for a 75-66 American Mideast Conference win over the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville had the game tied at 60-60 before the Golden Tornadoes took control with seven straight points. The Jackets committed only 10 turnovers, but shot 37 percent from the field and was outrebounded, 53-37. Ted Forrest had 18 points and nine boards for Cedarville. Curt Fleck came off the bench with 14 points and seven rebounds, Jason Marshall had 11 points, and Keith Minier tallied 10. [BOXSCORE]

Feb. 4, at Point Park
Point Park avenged a 30-point blowout at the hands of the Yellow Jackets in the Athletic Center on January 7 with a 75-68 American Mideast Conference win in the rematch. The Pioneers crushed the Yellow Jackets on the boards, 70-37, including a whopping 31 offensive rebounds. PPC led 41-37 at halftime and opened up a 59-43 lead in the second half. Cedarville could get no closer than four points down the stretch. Tedd Forrest scored 22 points for the Jackets while Curt Fleck netted 11 and Keith Minier had 10. Jan. 29, MALONE
Malone was everything but the last place American Mideast Conference team as they cruised to a 102-77 win at Cedarville. The Pioneers, who entered the game 4-21 overall and 2-10 AMC, hit 62 percent of their shots in the first half, including 8-of-11 behind the three-point line, in rolling to a 63-40 halftime bulge. The advantage swelled to as much as 32 points on four occasions in the second half. Ted Forrest had 20 points for Cedarville while Curt Fleck netted 14 points and Keith Minier scored 12. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 25, at Wilberforce
Keith Minier pumped in a career-high 24 points to lead Cedarville to a 97-79 American Mideast Conference victory at Wilberforce. The outcome ended a three-game losing streak for the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville, which never trailed in the game, took a 47-37 lead at halftime. The Jackets immediately took command in the second period by scoring the first 11 points in a span of 2:10. Their largest lead was 80-53 at the 9:15 mark. David Dingeman finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds while Clint Hayes tallied 18 points and Jason Marshall had 12. The Jackets shot 62.5 percent from the field overall and made 46 percent of their three-point shots. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 22, SAINT VINCENT
Saint Vincent rolled to their seventh straight victory with a 82-71 decision over Cedarville in American Mideast Conference action in the Athletic Center. The Bearcats, who never trailed in the contest, led 39-35 at halftime and then outscored the Yellow Jackets 25-8 in the opening ten minutes of the second half for their largest lead of the game, 64-43. Cedarville got no closer than 70-61 with 4:45 left. Jason Marshall fired in 14 points for the Jackets. Robb Burt and Ted Forrest had 13 points each and David Dingeman added 11. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 20, at Urbana
Urbana used hot shooting and its finest game of the season to post a 102-92 victory over Cedarville in American Mideast Conference action. The Blue Knights withstood a valiant comeback by the Yellow Jackets, who shaved a 20-point deficit to four points late in the game. Urbana entered the contest averaging 66 points per game and shooting just 39 percent from the field, but the Blue Knights hit 58.5 percent of their shots overall and drained 12-of-19 three-pointers for 63 percent. The hosts expanded a 46-39 halftime lead to 20 points on three occasions in the second period. Cedarville got within 94-90 with a minute let but simply ran out of time. Curt Fleck scored 22 points for the Yellow Jackets, who played without leading scorer Robb Burt due to illness. Jan. 18, at Rio Grande
Rio Grande withstood a furious rally from Cedarville for a 99-96 American Mideast Conference victory. The Redmen appeared to be coasting to victory leading 97-81 with 2:25 left. Cedarville went on a 15-2 run and even had two attempts to tie the game in the final seconds. Robb Burt supplied five three-pointers off the bench and finished with 20 points for the Yellow Jackets. David Dingeman scored 17 points and was joined in double figures by Ted Forrest with 14, Curt Fleck 13, and Jason Marshall with 12 points. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 15, at Shawnee State
Cedarville buried 16 three-pointers, matching their school record for most treys in a game for the second straight contest, while rolling to an easy 120-84 victory at Shawnee State in an American Mideast Conference game. The Yellow Jackets drained 16-of-22 shots from behind the arc for 73 percent and made 63 percent of their field goal attempts overall. They led 54-40 at halftime and then scored 45 points in the first 9:30 of the second half for their largest lead of the game, 99-60. Clint Hayes scored 21 points to lead eight players in double figures for Cedarville. Others in twin digits were David Dingeman with 17, Ted Forrest 16, Robb Burt 13, Keith Minier 13, Curt Fleck 12, Jason Marshall 10, and Brad Miller 10. Forrest also hauled in a game-high 17 rebounds. Jan. 13, MICHIGAN-DEARBORN
Keith Minier scored a career-high 19 points to lead Cedarville to an 81-62 victory over Michigan-Dearborn in a non-conference game. The Yellow Jackets finished the game with an 18-6 run and matched a school-record by draining 16 three-point baskets in the win. Minier got in on the three-point act by hitting 5-of-6 treys. Robb Burt came off the bench to can five bombs to score 15 points. Jason Marshall had 13 points with eight assists, Ted Forrest netted 10 points with a game-high 16 rebounds, and Clint Hayes chipped in 10 points. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 8, GENEVA
Geneva overcame a sluggish first half to post a 75-68 American Mideast Conference win at Cedarville. The Yellow Jackets held a 33-29 halftime lead, but the Golden Tornadoes improved their shooting from 26 percent in the opening 20 minutes to 52 percent in the final period. Geneva worked up a 66-54 lead with 6:30 left. Cedarville scored 10 straight points in a span of 2:30 and had the ball but could not get the tying basket. Ted Forrest finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Jackets. Clint Hayes had 14 points and Curt Fleck chipped in 11. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 7, POINT PARK
Robb Burt poured in 31 points off the bench to lead Cedarville to a 97-67 rout of Point Park in American Mideast Conference action. The Yellow Jackets sprinted to a 63-29 halftime lead behind Burt's 25 first-half points. The 6-foot-4 sophomore canned eight three-pointers for the night and finished four points shy of his career high. Clint Hayes scored 15 points, David Dingeman added 14, and Curt Fleck had 10. The largest lead for the Yellow Jackets was a 90-46 bulge with 6:30 left. They also outrebound Point Park 54-51 with Ted Forrest pulling in a team-high 12 boards. [BOXSCORE]

Jan. 4 at Saint Mary's
Robb Burt came off the bench to score 23 points and Curt Fleck, also in a reserve role, added a career-high 21 to lead Cedarville to an 86-80 victory at Saint Mary's in non-conference action. The outcome ended a three-game losing streak for the Yellow Jackets, who were playing for the first time in more than two weeks. The host Eagles bolted to an 11-3 lead in the game's first two minutes, but Cedarville recovered for a 46-40 advantage at the intermission. The Jackets enjoyed a pair of 20-point leads in the second period the last of which was 69-49 with 12 minutes left. Saint Mary's used a furious rally to get within five points with 30 seconds to go before running out of time. Dec. 18, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Mount Vernon Nazarene, ranked No. 7 in NAIA Division II, exploded in the second half and pounded Cedarville, 110-80, in an American Mideast Conference game. The host Cougars turned around a 58-51 halftime deficit by outscoring the Yellow Jackets 59-22 in the second period. Cedarville put together their best 20 minutes of the basketball in the first half. The Jackets overcame an 11-point deficit by drilling 11-of-14 three-point baskets en route to the halftime advantage. But they made just eight field goals total in the second half and only one more three-pointer. Clint Hayes scored 18 points, Ted Forrest and Robb Burt had 15 each, and Kyle Mraz added 11. [BOXSCORE]

Dec. 14, at Walsh
Walsh rolled to a 113-82 American Mideast Conference victory over Cedarville, but it was the three-point shooting display by Yellow Jacket sophomore Robb Burt that caught everyone's attention. The 6-foot-4 swingman buried a school-record 11 three-point baskets and scored a career-high 35 points in the loss. Burt came off the bench to can 5-of-7 treys in the first half and then drilled 6-of-11 bombs in the second period. He easily eclipsed the previous school record of eight three-pointers in a game set by Mike Freeman in 1987 and matched by Clint Hayes in 1996. Hayes netted 15 points and Ted Forrest added 10 for Cedarville. Walsh, ranked No. 3 ranking in NAIA Division II, raced to a 53-32 halftime lead and never looked back. Dec. 11, GOSHEN
Goshen rallied from a 20-point deficit to stun Cedarville, 67-64, in a non-conference game played in the Athletic Center. The Maple Leafs trailed 36-16 late in the first half and 54-36 with 10 minutes left following a Ted Forrest dunk. But the visitors outscored the Yellow Jackets 31-10 the rest of the way to come back. Forrest finished with 17 points and a game-high 10 rebounds while Jason Marshall and Clint Hayes tallied 12 points each. [BOXSCORE]

Dec. 7, OHIO VALLEY
David Dingeman scored a career-high 23 points and Cedarville held off a furious Ohio Valley comeback for an 86-77 non-conference victory. The outcome ended a four-game homecourt losing streak for the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville bolted to a 49-31 halftime lead and increased the spread to 21 early in period two. The Fighting Scots cut the difference to 79-74 with a minute to play and had possession of the ball, but they could get no closer. Ted Forrest had 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Dec. 4, TIFFIN
Tiffin posted an 85-80 victory in the Athletic Center in the American Mideast Conference opener for the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville twice came back from 11-point deficits. The last run brought the hosts to within 76-73 with 3:30 left and they had possession of the ball. However, two straight turnovers resulted in four points as the Dragons sealed the win. Ted Forrest had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Jackets while Keith Minier added 15 points. David Dingeman provided 13 points and Clint Hayes chipped in 12. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 30, WITTENBERG
Wittenberg held off Cedarville for a 69-60 non-conference victory before 1,561 in the Athletic Center. The Yellow Jackets came back from an 11-point deficit to within 61-57 and had the ball with three minutes left but were unable to close the gap. Robb Burt came off the bench to fire in four three-pointers and scored 16 points for Cedarville. Clint Hayes tallied 15 points and Ted Forrest pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 27, at Goshen
Jason Marshall scored 18 points, including the winning basket with 50 seconds left, to help Cedarville to an 84-80 non-conference victory at Goshen. The 6-foot-1 sophomore guard drilled a 17-footer to break an 80-all tie and then assisted a basket by David Dingeman in the final seconds that clinched the win. The Yellow Jackets trailed 58-51 early in the second half before going on a ten-point run to get back in it. Marshall, who was one of six Cedarville players to score in double figures, added team-highs of seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Others in double digits were Robb Burt with 13 points, Dingeman 12, Ted Forrest 11, and Keith Minier and Clint Hayes with 10 each. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 22, CENTRAL STATE
Central State used a 21-4 spurt midway through the second half en route to a 72-50 victory over Cedarville. Clint Hayes scored 15 points for the Yellow Jackets while David Dingeman added 12. It was the second victory for CSU in a matter of a week over the Yellow Jackets. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 20, WILMINGTON (22nd Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Wilmington pulled away for a 65-58 victory over the Yellow Jackets in the championship game of the 22nd Annual Cedarville College Invitational. The Quakers broke away from a 47-47 tie midway through the second half with 10 unanswered points. David Dingeman had 12 points and 11 rebounds for Cedarville and was named to the all-tournament team. Jason Marshall had 11 points and Ted Forrest, who finished with eight points and nine boards, also made the all-tourney squad. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 19, SAINT MARY'S (22nd Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Robb Burt came off the bench to supply six three-point baskets and scored 22 points to pace the Yellow Jackets to an 81-67 victory over Saint Mary's in the opening round of the 22nd Annual Cedarville College Invitational. The Jackets roared out to a 49-29 halftime lead and the Eagles never got closer than 11 points the rest of the way. Nov. 15, at Central State
Central State buried 14 three-point shots and defeated Cedarville, 78-57. The win for the Marauders was the first in four games in the series between the two schools. CSU led 37-29 at the half and then opened period two with a 12-2 run to blow it open. Ted Forrest and Robb Burt scored 14 points each for the Yellow Jackets while Clint Hayes netted 12. [BOXSCORE]

Nov. 12, Redeemer ONT (at Wilberforce)
Clint Hayes scored 28 points to lead Cedarville to a 96-61 rout of Redeemer College ONT at the Wilberforce Classic. The six-foot senior canned 7-of-11 three-pointers in the game. Ted Forrest, Jason Marshall, and Curt Fleck each netted 15 points and Forrest grabbed a game-high 20 rebounds. The Jackets made 58 percent of their shots for the contest and bolted to a 54-28 halftime lead. [BOXSCORE]
