Krista (Watson) Mattern is in her second season as a member of the Lady Jacket coaching staff. She works primarily with the junior varsity squad.

Mattern was a three-year player with the Jackets and was named the Team MVP as a freshman in 2002. She sat out the next season with an injury before returning to play in 2004 and 2005. She appeared in 39 career matches with 20 starts scoring four goals and two assists.

Mattern graduated from Cedarville University in 2006 with a degree in psychology. She works as a substitute teach in the Clark-Shawnee Local School district as well as Emmanuel Christian School in Springfield.

Krista resides in Springfield with her husband, Jason, who is a 2005 grad and a former pole vaulter with the Yellow Jackets.
