Steve Powers is in his fourth year as an assistant coach after serving four years as the first recruited student-manager at Cedarville University. He faithfully held down that position in cross country and track & field throughout his college career. A native of Niskayuna, New York, he is involved in all aspects of the cross country program.

Powers, who is single and resides in Cedarville, is a 2004 CU graduate with a degree in criminal justice. He is a 2005 graduate of the Greene County Criminal Justice Training Academy in Xenia. He is currently employed by Wright State University.
