Cedarville University Men's Basketball Yellow Jackets

Athletic Center

Callan Athletic Center

One of the finest small college athletic facilities in the midwest, Cedarville University's spacious Callan Athletic Center is the home of the Yellow Jackets. The building was renamed in February, 2003 in honor of former longtime athletic director and men's basketball coach, Don Callan. The A.C., which seats 3,500 fans for basketball, is now in its 24th year and the Jackets begin the 2004-05 campaign with a 250-95 (.725) record in the building.

The Athletic Center floor was renovated in the summer of 1999 and now includes an all-wood surface throughout the complex with a parquet-style layout on the main basketball court. The building features four full-length basketball courts, a one-tenth mile jogging track, five volleyball courts, and badminton courts. Three racquetball courts as well as weight training and athletic training facilities are located nearby in the adjacent new Fitness and Recreation Center. There are fine locker room facilities including separate areas for visiting teams, physical education classes, faculty, and staff.

The Athletic Center was the site of the 1985 and 1986 National Christian College Athletic Association national women's basketball tournament. The building has also been the host site for NCCAA National Tournaments in wrestling and women's volleyball. (Photo by Scott L. Huck, Cedarville University Public Relations)
