Cedarville University Women's Soccer Yellow Jackets

Yellow Jacket Field

Cedarville University continues to produce some of the finest athletic facilities in the country. A new soccer complex which is surrounded by an eight-lane track and lights was opened for soccer play in the fall of 2002 with the track completed in the spring of 2004. The facility was built under the supervision of athletic director Pete Reese.

The soccer field is a 120 x 73 yard natural turf playing surface which includes an irrigation system. The complex features an electronic scoreboard, press box, and ample seating for 2,000 fans including an area at field level for CU students on the track.

Yellow Jacket Field has been the site of several key post season soccer matches. Cedarville hosted the NCCAA Midwest Region men's and women's championship matches in both 2003 and 2004. The Ohio High School Athletic Association also chose the site for a girls Division I Region 3 semifinal and a boys Division III state semifinal in 2003. CU also hosted the 2004 OHSAA boys Division I state semifinal.
