| Spring Arbor wins tiebreaker for women's title; Spring Arbor and Cedarville recorded 72 points each while third-place Northwest WA tallied 76 points. However, Spring Arbor captured the championship banner by virtue of a higher finish by the Cougars' number six runner. It was the third championship for Spring Arbor, but their first since winning the initial two NCCAA meets in 1981 and 1982. Malone's Missy Almond won the individual title by covering the 5,000 meters in 18:11. Maranatha Baptist Bible WI won the Division II team championship. The women's overall race was expected to be a great one. Northwest came into the meet ranked No. 7 in the NAIA and was joined in the Top 25 by No. 9 Cedarville, No. 12 Spring Arbor, and No. 14 Northwest Nazarene ID. In the men's 28th annual race, Malone grabbed their third straight banner. The Pioneers, ranked No. 4 in the NAIA, have won the NCCAA title in six of the past seven years and in 13 of the last 15. Malone racked up 45 points to outrun host and NAIA No. 6 Cedarville, who finished with 56. No. 18 Grace IN finished with 104 points and No. 23 MidAmerica Nazarene KS had 117. Malone's Dave Leonard took the men's individual championship with a time of 25:02 for the 8,000 meters. Northland Baptist WI was the Division II team champion.
