Camp Information
Who:
Cross Country Camp is designed for girls who will enter the 9th - 12th grades in the fall. The camp is designed for runners who have some experience running either on a team or in road races.
What:
Camp includes discussion of training principles including stretching, weight lifting, aerobic training, anaerobic training, and speed training. We will also be discussing how and when these types of training fit into the program.
Although the schedule is busy, there is time to relax, get to know other campers, and grow spiritually through devotions, Bible study, and prayer time. The staff seeks to provide quality instruction while emphasizing enjoyment and fun as key elements.
When:
July 27-31, 2008
- Registration will be from 3-4 p.m. on Sunday
- Information meeting will be at 4:30 on Sunday for all campers
- First activity will be dinner at 5:00
- Camp concludes at 12 p.m. on Thursday.
Where:
Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH
Running will be on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course, John Bryan State Park, and Glen Helen nature preserve.
Students will be housed in air-conditioned residence halls on campus. There will be counselor supervision throughout the residence halls; campers will be housed according to age category. Bring your own bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows, etc.) and your own towels.
Cost:
Resident Camper: $295
Commuter Camper: $200
Fee includes T-shirt as well as room and board for a resident camper and lunch and supper for a commuter camper. There are several discounts available to campers, please see registration page. There are no partial week discounts.
Campers will be responsible for lost room keys ($50) and/or any room damage.
All-you-can-eat meals will be provided in the University's dining hall by Pioneer Food Service.
