Sharie Bolender, a former standout distance runner with the Lady Jackets, will work along side her husband, Jeff, who is the head coach. Her primary focus will be with the women's distance runners.

Sharie, who is a 1993 graduate of Cedarville College with a marketing and management degree, was a four-year distance runner in the Lady Jacket program. She was a two-time NCCAA All-American in cross country and was a member of Cedarville's 1991 Mid-Ohio Conference and NCCAA national championship team. She was also a two-time NCCAA national champion on the track in the 1,500 meter run.

The Bolenders reside in Cedarville with their three children: a son Daniel, 13; older daughter, Molly, 11; and younger daughter, Isabelle, 8.
