Jim Sawin enters his first year as a member of the Yellow Jacket track & field coaching staff. He'll be working with the high jumpers.

Sawin was a four-year contributor to the Cedarville University program from 2004 through 2007. He capped off his career as a senior by tying for 4th place at the NAIA Outdoor Championships by clearing 6-feet 8-inches for NAIA All-America honors. The Massachusetts native was the NCCAA indoor champion and the American Mideast Conference champion. He was also an NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

Sawin, who is a 2007 graduate of the University with a sport management degree, is currently a sports writer for the Urbana Daily Citizen. Sawin is single and resides in Beavercreek.
