Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The final Cedarville Male Athlete of the Week for the 2020-21 athletic season is track & field pole vaulter Tommy Ansiel. The senior from Warrenville, Illinois was named the 2021 Yellow Jacket Club Male Athlete of the Year after posting the #1 mark in the country this past winter at 17-5 (5.31 meters) and an NCAA Division II Indoor Championship runner-up finish with a 17-3.50 (5.27 meters) effort. Ansiel was also the G-MAC Indoor Champion (17.5) setting a meet record and the all-time conference record. He was the Division II Indoor Midwest Region Field Athlete of the Year and was named to the All-G-MAC Indoor First Team. He is a Dean's List student as a business finance major, a Division II All-Academic honoree and a G-MAC Academic Team selection.
